Affinity trinity V1 and V2
Jon1 replied to Jon1's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Ok , it looks like I have to go for Trinity V2 with all 3 apps. -
Hi , I have the Affinity trinity V1 Have to admit that I don't use Designer much , maybe once a month. Almost never used Publisher. Use Photo a lot. Plan to upgrade to Photo V2. My question is will Photo V2 work together with publisher and designer V1
-
I'm a newbie to Designer , and obviously doing something wrong when I exporting a PNG file. The picture I imported is a PNG file - did some adjusting in Designer ( made a path blank) and exported it. Neither Fast Stone or Windows Explorer can read it. As you see , the file is there... Took some screen recording. ScreenRecorderProject5.mp4

Affinity products for Linux
Jon1 replied to a topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
I find it a bit strange that Agriggio who is making ART ( a fork of Rawtherapee , with advanced local adjustment ) is doing all the job by developing the prog himself, and porting it to Linux. He's getting help from Gaaned92 with porting it to Windows and Carmelo_DrRaw porting it to Mac ... These guys is doing a heck of a good job..... https://bitbucket.org/agriggio/art/wiki/Home https://discuss.pixls.us/t/art-new-releases/16500 -
Digital Noise tool.
Jon1 replied to Jim Vormelker's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
If you shoot RAW the best option is DxO Deep PRIME. It's simply in it's own class , much better then the other alternatives. Topaz Denoise AI is also very good. It support both RAW and JPEG. You can also mask selected area for denoising. -
In my opinion yes. DxO is known for it's fantastic PRIME noise reduction. No one out there is even close to it. For high iso - noisy images it can just do miracle. There's been lots of threads in the Dpreview/Retouching forum about this. And there is the Clear View Plus , almost similar to dehaze function , but DxO has just taken it a step further. Here is a list of what's differ the two versions :

Then you have the Essential version. I would not use it ether. It's in the Elite version all the good stuff are.

Unless I'm wrong , I think it's called destructive editing. Many times I try to edit a RAW file in Affinity , i'm getting a pink tint which is almost impossible to get rid of.

Nothing for you , since you already know it 😄 But what if a person has CS6 and try to open a RAW file from a new camera ?

It's not correct that Photoshop is editing RAW files. It will send the RAW file to ACR ( It's the same as Affinity will send a RAW file to Develop Persona) I agree that he should check out DxO. I have both latest ACR/Lightroom and DxO , and I like them both , but often DxO is just outclassing ACR/Lightroom

Black, white and grey point selection
Jon1 replied to Tom_75's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
Hopefully Affinity will get this in the near future. That's one of the reason I can't leave Photoshop for the moment.
