  1. There appear to be several svg properties that Xcode doesn't read correctly (which I'm pretty sure is Xcode's fault in regards to properly adhering to the SVG spec...). I've run into the issue that gradients exported from Affinity are ignored by Xcode, myself, but they've worked in other svg files. I've attached sample files - the figma file works flawlessly in Xcode, while the affinity one does not. I created the shape in figma, exported to SVG, opened in Affinity, and exported back to svg with the "(for export)" setting. grad-figma.svg grad-affinity.svg
  2. Yes - right now, I'd be happy to settle for a read only value, but ultimately I'd really like to be able to set them too. Kinda related, I found that the transform rounds to the nearest tenth. Is there somewhere to adjust that precision? I know it's retaining the correct float value internally, but that doesn't help for copy/pasting values elsewhere.
  3. I'm aware you can see the values of an individual node's coordinates in the transform panel, but is there a way to see the coordinates of the control point(s)? In the meantime, I will be exporting SVG and analyzing the file... but that's so much work when it could be easily shown in the UI. If this isn't possible, please consider this a feature request.
  4. Nor have I! For what it's worth, it happened after the iPad automatically deleted the local copy of the app to reduce storage space and I initiated the reinstall (maintaining some documents). But after doing a complete deletion and reinstall it worked! I did not try clearing documents as you suggested as the reinstall was already in progress.
  5. Caught screen recording in case it helps at all. RPReplay_Final1576141134.MP4
  6. There's not really much more to say. It crashes right when it launches. Overnight I'm attempting to delete the app and reinstall. I've already rebooted the iPad, closed some other apps, and freed up space on the device.
  7. I had to google to find this post as this is 100% illogical. There should be a document setting indicating what multiplier we are working on (1x, 2x, or 3x) so that when we export, it properly upscales and downscales from the working resolution (ideally only downscaling, but depends on the artist). Having an arbitrary value completely change the behavior of a function only leads to confusion.
  8. Also running into this issue - seems a bit ridiculous that this seemingly common function is a low priority that's been waiting to get fixed for at least 6 months.
  9. There wouldn't really be much of a conflict, as there are important distinctions between the two. However, given the choice of one or the other, I'd choose last used. In terms of UX, I would have to go out of my way to set defaults, whereas last used would flow seamlessly into your workflow. That being said, I wouldn't complain about having the option for a default where one of the options could be "last used". The real catch would be implementing that without clunking up the interface. Perhaps add an advanced tab to the preferences where it has minute details like this?
  10. Yeah - app contents are accessible like any other folder. :) https://www.dropbox.com/s/fqgu5g1k9kibwwi/ps%20plugins.png?dl=0
  11. I know it's not kosher to +1 your own request, but I felt it was worth reiterating the importance of this small detail. EVERY time I use the clone tool, I expect to have a medium sized brush with pen tablet pressure size dynamics enabled, the hardness of the brush to be low, align to be turned off, and clone all layers enabled. Instead, I have to manually set those every time. This is annoying and actually takes a lot more time than you would expect it to. Remember, defaults are not fit for everyone! Additionally, changing brushes and brush details is a lot easier in Photoshop with being able to right click anywhere in the canvas to change some of the basic stuff, and a simple keyboard shortcut (F5 I believe is the default?) to open more advanced brush settings.
  12. Well I found it! It's located at /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014.app/Contents/Required/Plug-Ins Very few of them seem to work though. And filter gallery shows in the menu, but is greyed out. :(
  13. No worries! I've been known to skim things myself. :P But that is the issue... I don't know where they are kept either! I admittedly haven't done any research on it, but will probably do so shortly.
  14. More specifically, I believe Topaz to be a third party plugin for PS, but I want access to the first party ones.
  15. Right - I did that. I should maybe have put more emphasis on the word "default". As in, the plugins/filters that come WITH photoshop. Specifically, the filter gallery that has a bunch of abilities that aren't easily reproduceable (to my knowledge) by the basic set of blurs and filters included with Affinity. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wf9sevrzih84ifi/ps%20filter%20gallery.png?dl=0 The problem seems to be that Photoshop doesn't seem to store those filters in its plugins folder.
  16. Is there any way to use built in Photoshop plugins? I pointed AP to the Plugins folder in my Photoshop installation, but then I realized that it was empty. I swear Adobe used to leave the default plugins in that folder, but maybe I'm imagining things. Anyway, I'd love to have access to things like the filter gallery in AP instead of having to open that slug.
  17. Oh - this sort of fits alongside this request... When I open a file and then save it, it would be nice if it would default to saving alongside the original, in the same folder.
  18. I wish it would remember settings from session to session of small things like the last chosen brush, whether cloning and healing brushes were aligned or not (I rarely use aligned, yet it's the default), clone source (current layer, current and below, etc), the jpg quality slider setting, and I'm sure there are lots of others.
  19. The eyedropper function (really in both apps) is clunky at best. While it's possible I'm using it wrong, I can't fathom any other way it's supposed to be used. Additionally, under the select menu, the "select sampled color" option seems to not work at all.
  20. Oh I must have missed it in that post! Glad to see it!
  21. I apologize if this has already been requested. I have not purchased the app, but with everything else that I've tested so far, if this feature was in there, I would have purchased on the spot. I can't imagine it would be too hard to implement either. When drawing a bezier curve, shift and option both have separate modifiers that perform as I would expect, but I deeply miss the spacebar modifier from Adobe Illustrator. That is, when you are in the midst of drawing a curve on a line, if you hold spacebar, you stop modifying the placement of the control point and instead translate the position of base point. This is great for when you need to slightly adjust the placement, after you have already placed the point. After you let go of spacebar, you can continue to modify the control points until you let go of the mouse and create the next curve on the line. I hope this was clear enough. I want this to replace my Illustrator!
