    Think I have been patient. Bought v2 on Nov 9th. Still haven't used it waiting for MSI installers. 2.0.3 is out for MSIX , where is the MSI? Thanks Gary

    @lforbes In another post, they announced the latest patch will land shortly and the MSI installers with patch shortly after. Here is the link. very much waiting for this. I CANNOT install MSIX anything on my workflow. 3D companies I work for forbid these installers. I purchased on Nov 9th and patiently waiting. But yikes what a mess. This forum seems to be nothing but issues with the new installer. If it ain't broke don't fix it, as my dad used to say. Sure EXE files are not perfect, but I never saw this amount of issues with the old installer. Gary

    @Patrick Connor Thank you for the update. I understand what you are saying completely. Its great to wait for the first patch as well. Look forward to using it. Thank you to SERIF again for making MSI installers. It was a deal breaker for me. Not my choice, but MSI will fix the problem. Gary

    @LondonSquirrelI agree , i have seen more install issue on this version than any other. I have removed mine. My D drive looks like a child created random directories everywhere after using the method of installing on a different drive without CONTROL. Gary

    @Designer1234this may not be an issue for you, but money isn't for me. Never was the issue. Better more productive software is. My industry dictates what i use. They are not moving forward with V2 of Affinity software. This now becomes a issue for me, as I follow the same path/directory structure they do. Everyone has different uses for their software. If it was just me, I would put up with it . Not in anymeans ideal when someone forces you to put something you don't want to where the want. But in MY case this doesn't work, and 2 companies I contract to for FILM work dont' want to either. So this was a email to see if SERIF have some sort of compromise. Seems that they do not. Will wait another day, and if nothing happens , will just get a refund. Gary

    @KájaI haven't even activated mine. If it doesn't install to the correct place i am not using it. In fact it feels like a DEAD END WITH SERIF on this subject. Perhaps a REFUND and back to Adobe. Such a shame. The time and effort that i have put into using this software on the past 50 movies and this is the outcome. Perhaps i was in error leaving adobe in the first place. Gary

    @Mark Ingram MOVING the file doesn't fix the directory. It created the biggest mess of LOCKED folders on the other drive. I have a directory structure. Its strict and works for my entire suite of all programs. YOURS BREAKS that as i cannot put in the the directory its supposed to go in. WE nee the ability to put the program where we want and in the name we want. Gary

    would love a linux port as well. But I dont' seem to be able to get a straight answer on a optional installer. Frankly i don't care what is at he end of it MSI or MSIX. Just need the ability to install where i want it to go and as well as my employers. Gar

    @Tia LapisI am not the IT person. But we are still on Windows 10 . Probably for a while. Backend OS updates don't come that fast. To many changes. Gary

    @Mark IngramI work as a contractor to these companies, i will still require a installer that works. I follow the same workflow as the companies. We need a regular installer. Many people do. If you can do it for corporate deployments , you can do it for personal. This is important for us to have an option. Gary

    Hopefully there is some acknowledgement of this REQUEST. As stated above, what SERIF does or doesn't do about the installer dictates my path and 2 companies i work for. Gary

    So, I posted elsewhere the problems with new installer . The SO CALLED option to install to another drive is terrible. Look that the MESS of a directory it creates It is important for a lot of COMPANIES and WORKFLOWS to have correct directory structures. The inability to INSTALL the APPS where you want is a massive problem for a lot of us in the GRAPHIC DESIGN world ( particularly in FILM ). I create graphics for movies and CONTRACT to many companies. I have had two notices this morning to stop using AFFINITY file formats and migrate to AI and EPS only. This is due to the NEW INSTALLER and they do not want to USE V2 because of it. Many of the companies and scripts and backups and a very strict workflow based on where things are and was the reason i was given. I just got away from finally use of ADOBE software. Now i have to start a SUBSCRIPTION again. This is a two fold issue in my case. FIRST off, I now need to spend more more money and go back to ADOBE . Two the companies are not PURCHASING V2 of AFFINITY Software ( one of the companies alone has 35 seats of the software ) .So now I have to output money for ADOBE and AFFINITY if i wish to keep using it. I love AFFINITY Software. Never had any complaints about what they have done or where they are going. BUT THIS IS A BIG SCREW UP in my eyes. We DON'T use ANY software that doesn't allow us a choice on where to INSTALL. PLEASE SERIF for those that are reading this and listening, Please give us the choice of the old installer and keep the users. Hope to hear something soon. Gary

    THIS is the WORST DECISION from SERIF. They claim you have the best software. BUT INSTALL HERE NO OTHER CHOICE. NO HAPPY WITH THEM. Bring back the OLD INSTALLER. My IT DEPT are wiping SERIF software from the network. YOU NEED A CHOICE. IT dept wont put up with this. Gary
