  1. Thanks for your explanation! I checked the Lens correction settings. When I deselect the Lens correction option I get the complete picture. In this case just a bit better without Lens correction. I like to have the upper edge in the picture.
  2. When I import a Nikon NEF file the viewed picture is not the same size as when I display with my Microsoft Photo viewer. The Affinity import is cropped. I attached the screenshots from the applications. The difference is not big but I cannot understand why Affinity is cropping during the import. I checked the document properties in the applications: Affinity import: 8288 x 5520 Microsoft: 8256 x 5504 This is even more strange!
  3. Today I got the mail that my pictures are used for the calibration proces of the D850 and the nikon 24-70 2.8E VR lens for Lensfun. Soon the data will be in the database. I checked the link from the above message but that xml file is still old and does not contain data about the D850. When I have all the parameters I will update the xml file and upload it to the forum. So everyone can update by himself through copying the xml to the right location. Make a copy of the original file to have a back-up file. Copy the file to the location: C:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity Photo Customer Beta\Resources\Lens Profiles Set Lens corrections to On in the the Assistant and the corrections are made automatically when opening a Nikon RAW file. slr-nikon.xml
  4. This weekend I made a set of pictures for the lens correction of the D850 and the Nikon 24-70 2.8E VR lens. I have send them to the Lensfun process for correction proces. I hope the camera and lens data will be added to database of Lensfun soon. Next to that I hope the data is added by the software engineers of Affinity Photo so everyone can have benefit of the corrections. My next step is to make special photo's for the vignetting and chromatic abberations of this lens.
  5. I am working on 18 pictures to make a nice panorama picture. The rendering is really slow on my 4 Ghz i7 with 16 GB and fast SSD. I checked the Taskmanager and noticed that the CPU load is only 15%. This should be higher for a better performance. Memory pressure is 259%, memory efficience is 677%. A small modification followed by rendering take about 10 minutes. Is there an option to get this process faster?

    panorama artefacts

I had the same phenomena in some stitched panorama photo's. I cleared some areas with the Stuff tool. That helped but I prefer the rigth stitch algorithm.
  7. Thanks for the answer. Right button click is the trick. I noticed that the Straigthen function was still active even after a Cancel action. Now it is clear to me.I also overlooked the Darken option. In Photoshop the Darken is no option. So I was not looking for it.
  8. I am using 1.5.1.54 and when I want to Straighten (Photo Persona) an image you cannot Untick the Straighten button. The Straighten function will stay active. Even a Cancel after straightening an image will not go back t the previous situation. Maybe it is also a good option to dim the part of the image which is outside the crop area. It gives a better feeling about the composition.
  9. I also started with the Intuos Pro but cannot find this option in Windows Photo. Do I need to setup every setting via the More option, Dynamics option?

I noticed the same, right sRGB profile choosen but picture was way too dark. I found the problem was in Windows photoviewer. Open the picture with another viewer and you don't have the problem. Maybe you have the same problem.
  11. I found the solution: define the Spacebar key to to a Express key in the Wacom software. Then scrolling and panning while pushing the Express key will work. The Scroll/Pan definition is not working.
  12. When I open a RAW file from my Nikon D7200 with a resolution of 6000x4000 then it will get the resolution of 6016x4016. In the RAW importer you can see the details of the file in the header on the screen. After developing the created document has also this erratic resolution. The resolution retrieved from the RAW file on disk is 6000x4000. I compared it with Photoshop v15.5 and there I get a document size of 6000x4000, as it has to be.
  13. In other applications I can use the Wacom Scroll/Pan function. But not in Windows AF (V1.5.1.52). Scrolling is working but Panning not. I tried different settings but no solution found. I have the Wacom Intuos Pro with driver Driver 6.3.20-3, Windows 10 64-bit. Windows Ink is already disabled. Does any one have a clue to solve this?
