  1. Gosh, I would like to strongly support this suggestion. As a user of Illustrator and (the very expensive) MAPublisher for making maps using OS Opendata, I too would find it really brilliant if Affinity Designer could import Shapefiles or Geopackages.
  2. I'd just like to add my small voice to all the appeals above for a lighter UI. I've tried hard to get used to the existing UI without success. There is some limited adjustment possible in Preferences, but not nearly enough. How difficult is it to tweak this further? It really is a deal breaker for me at present.
  3. I cannot get the beta to run. I've tried reinstalling it several times, but It keeps telling me I need a retail version even when my retail version is already running. How can I get it to recognise my retail version (1.21)? I have so many apps installed I find it very helpful to arrange them in appropriate sub-folders. Affinity Designer is installed in (Applications/Design Apps) Is this the problem??
  4. Well, Illustrator, Inkscape and LibreOffice Draw all get this right ;-)
  5. If I create a polygon, and set maximum line thickness (100pts) for three and four sided polygons, the corners are not mitred properly.
