  1. Menawhile I've found that I can quit Affinity Photo by pressing command-q … and then everything miraculously slips back to normal. So it looks like an Affinity problem (whatever may cause it …). Also I've observed when starting Photo and then opening a file there's a short flash / flicker and change of color like in the previous screenshots, and there's the foto for editing. But it seems to be a quite unstable situation since I got a crash when trying to save the latest edits …
  2. trying to open a file via right click in finder. Then, most of the times, but not always, system gets unusable because it messes with the screen – and I've got the feeling inoput via mouse / trackpad / keyboard isn't working but that's hard to tell because it is like flying blind. IMac 24", M1, 16GB, macOS Montery 12.1 Beta (21C5039b) Affinity Photo 1.10.4 A(AppStore version) And it looks like this. First one is with open file in Affinity trying to place another file from Finder window (that's the 3 rows a 4 files on the right) and this is when Mac goes to sleep while Affinity is running:
  3. Thank you. Simply did not rename spot color. Sometimes it can be so easy … Have a nice weekend!
  4. Thank you so much. It worked. Though there is one little mistake in the linked answer. The correct location of profiles for the Affinity Store version of Affinity Publisher is NOT: Affinity Publisher: ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Publisher/user/ BUT: Affinity Publisher: ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Publisher/profiles/ And again, thank you so much.
  5. Have a logo and a company name in Designer. All curves. In the output as PDF or EPS the company name is saved as a pixel graphic not curves. In the EPS format then also a part of the logo disappears immediately. What am I doing wrong?
  6. Have placed color profiles in the /Library/ColorSync/Profiles or /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Recommended folder; they are not recognized by any of the Affinity programs and womn't show up as a selection option in the corresponding dialog box. These are the ECI v2 and v3 profiles coated and uncoated. What have I done wrong? The profiles shown in the screenshot seem to be installed by the programs themselves; can not find them on the hard disk ...
  7. I create a named spot color (global color) in Affinty Designer, but after export to EPS or PDF the name is no longer present. Important for the service provider/printer, because the curve marked with this spot color will not be printed but used as cutting edge. Also, the curve (a rectangle with rounded corners) is divided into eight individual curves in the service provider's software Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat): the four corners and the four straight lines. Where is the problem. The same problem already appeared when printing in a special color was needed for a customer. What went wrong here? Help urgently needed.
  8. Ordered the book, got it two (!) days later and it is … excellent. Thanks for doing this.
