Another one of Affinity developers' idiotic idea... you rotate the VIEW... OMFG... let's hope they don't make us rotate our monitors... and then you have to clip/unclip canvas because even if you rotate the image, you don't rotate the image, you rotate the content, not the document OMFG... Just like Figma developers - you terribly need to change what is standard and make it your own dumb idea...

They move when you resize the artboard any other direction than bottom right. And as I mentioned earlier, this is IDIOTIC. I can't add to the top of the artboard with the handle because it ruins the guides. I-DIO-TIC!

OK and how do you actually save the slices? Where is the export BUTTON of some sorts?

But locking doesn't work like it should. I resize the artboard and they all MOVE!

I had this problem. Started writing about it. Posted. Came back to Affinity Designer and SOMEHOW it didn't resize or move or whatever the guides. Deleted the post, reported to be deleted. Came back to continue my work and again it's there. Annoying AF. I don't get the "relative to start"... whatever I do, they move. I should be able to lock them, this is one thing. And even choosing a different point of cropping (one of the little squares) does NOTHING. It should at least react to this setting: what is more, the square gets bigger as the one active tu STILL the top left one is the master decider here... OMFG

I was just about to start another topic but found this out... and I clicked something and it was like it should be but no longer ; ) this is idiotic, this kind of behavior of guides... who thought that would be a good idea? WTF? How do I resize artboard at the top only without moving guides? Idiotic!

There's no "MAGNETIC" in V2 and the object moves when I click on it... WHAT AN IDIOCY... another dumb thing someone thought would be awesome...

I did have this also... a blank document with some text - OK. A project from the previous version with some text, vectors, bitmaps: an error. Embedding ECC profiles worked. Hope it doesn't break the source file! Waiting for an update then : )

Hello, I am creating a report, yesterday updated to 2.5.6 (Publisher), doing like have been doing it for some days now... just text, some vector here and there (reused), an image placed CTRL+V from a website (screenshot). However, when exporting to PDF I now have a "there was an error exporting to PDF". Found the pdflib reg idea but it doesn't seem to work, no pdflib.txt file is created in my Temp dir (my Temp dir is used as the Windows Temp, maybe no rights to create the file? strange). Help! I will need this as PDF soon...

I don't remember but I think 2.5.0 to 2.5.3. An older Surface 8 Pro I had and just had to update stuff for a week away. I didn't see the reset when updating e.g. 2.5.1 to 2.5.2, etc. Maybe it resets if there is a bigger update than 1 smallest number? Resetting IMO isn't the scenario...

No, the default behavior is ON. People were posting about this as I even looked for whether it annoys only me (it doesn't)... And it reset after the last update (at least).

The idiotic "LCTR+LALT+MOUSE SCROLL" again rotates the image instead of zooming... I know, some idiot at Affinity thought it would be an awesome feature that breaks the habbit from the big A competition but DON'T RESET IT ON SOFTWARE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It makes it an object within the object and not a gradient style! This looks like a bug!

I have just found this behaviour... this is UNACCEPTABLE and I don't give a damn about whether I should do it on export or when. CTRL+Z is UNDO so MAKE IT UNDO stuff!!!!!! How many more idiotic changes of the tools that are standard, have been standard in the creative world, will the Affinity team try to impose on us? BTW The cookie consent shouldn't refresh the page. Why would you care? Why do you want to change the way people work?

Hi, Either when I am in editing mode of a text area or I just LMB click on it, I check all options in the flow panel to avoid widows and orphans and NOTHING happens... Why?

CTRL+ENTER is often used, has been used, to "stop editing" a text area... now it changes font into curves... another idiocy someone thought would be awesome if you are switching from the big A products... OMFG Affinity....

Designer needs the same way canvas / artboard is trimmed in Photo. I just did what I needed to do in Photo after sitting for an hour in Designer. Just add the freaking crop to the artboard in Designer - but show the handles initially, don't make me draw a generic rectangle without any snapping!

Hello, Well... can we have a VAT 0 invoice? I don't know - can UK, as a non-EU country, give a VAT 0 invoice to EU countries? My financial advisor says I should have had a VAT 0 invoice from you... A 1-person account, not the business license for at least 2 licenses - can it be invoiced by a business?

What kind of a moron makes such a feature default in the first place? You want more users and to make them feel "like at home" OR NOT. STOP doing such idiotic changes! First Figma, now you. Another one - you could make a tooltip next to "scrubby" zoom because I have no F**king idea what that is and whether I want it or not.
