  1. Please, please add a filter function in order to search inside the Preferences/Shortcuts, because it's starting to be very tricky to manage all these functions. PhaseOne CaptureOne Pro has a really nice one… check here…
  2. Yay, finally! But as a heavy Layercomp user in Adobe Photoshop, I'm wondering: - is it possible to assign shortcuts to function like: update State / Next State / Previous State? - is it possible to create an action to automatically create State like Before/After? Many thanks…
  3. same here. Impossible to make it work. Assigned, quit and restard, nothing is working. The shortcut editor is still showing my the correct key I've chosen but it's not working. Bad bug here!
  4. Thanks for the trick. The same I was using before InDesign implemented the more convenient one. I'm going to fill a "feature request" and in the meantime I'll try the trick. Cheers.
  5. My bad… but… No, that's not my point. We need a feature available since InDesign CS5 12 years ago that allows selecting all or a bunch of files in the "Resource Manager" and connect these files to a new folder. Alongside my graphic design practice, I'm a professional retoucher and prepress, and I'm preparing all my files in RGB format first then I'm creating specific CMYK folders for specific paper profiles (ISO Coated, PSO Uncoated…). Some jobs use several different papers that need different profiles. I'm having the exported files in different folders but I keep the same name. With InDesign, I'm able to "Relink to Folder…" (see the attachement below). I'm even able to Relink files with that e same names but different file extension. Super useful and a huge productivity boost. Trust me on this one. Cheers.
  6. Okaay, I've been with Affinity software since day 1, which means 8 years ago for Designer. They have been through a lot and I'd like to be able to use it professionally but I can't. The lack of scripting/batch processing ability and the some simple feature to add like a function in the *Resource Manager* like a "Select All" a "Link to Folder" the selected files is a no go for me. Working on a 200 pages with more than 300 pictures is not manageable that way. Thanks for adding it… soon. I've supported all 3 softwares so far and I think I will it too for version 2 but I doubt I'm going to use it for "real" job. I hope and believe Serif can make it right.
  7. Yeah GREP was on my list from Day 1 Publisher 1 was publisher as long with scripting.
  8. Okaaay, Well version 2 is here. Is there any news about the 1-bit only for Professional picky enough to care about sharpness? In the specs, What that feature?
  9. Well version 2 is here, and so far, I can't see any abilities to use spot color channels in raster modes (Photo, Pixel persona, etc.)?… Am I missing something?
  10. Well version 2 is here, and so far, I can't see any scripting abilities… Am I missing something?
  11. Well, it's been a while now and all the Affinity suffers from this slow startup issues. Any news about it now? Many thanks.
  12. Thanks for the feedback. This is really weird. After 6 months testing the M1Max, I still have critical issues for pro usage like colorcalibration, confirmed by NEC/Sharp Pro display and Eizo, and the Affinity Suite. I'm running now the latest osx Monterey 12.4, it's getting better and more stable but still I feel the potential of the M1Max power is underused. I'll try the duplication trick but how come Affinity dev are not able to solve this? In the forum you've provided above, a user share his solution: But If I restart with Metal on Publisher then I'm stuck with my document bug we've discussed earlier in this thread. What a mess!
  13. Okay, I'm now running osx Monterey 12.4 and the latest official Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer as well as Affinity Publisher. Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer still launch slower on my M1Max than on my 8 years old MacBookPro running Mojave 10.13.14. This is nuts!! Is there any progress on this topic? Many thanks.
  14. I have installed the official 1.10.5 and my doc privided to you is still crashing when Metal is turned on. I'm under 12.2.1. Is there any tests you've made under 12.3 with my original doc?
  15. Hello, yes. same crash With Metal OFF, it works as expected. I guess, you have a better clue of how to fix this right? Because without Metal, it doesn't make any sense to have an M1Max powerhouse. Nicolas
  16. Hi there, sorry for the delay, I was testing an M1 Pro and I've had to give it back in order to get an M1 Max. I've just received it yesterday and I'm in a pace to retrieve all my installations and setup. I'm running now the latest 12.2 osx Monterey and with either the 1.10.4 or the latest beta 1.10.5 of Affinity Publisher, whenever I try to open my document, it just crashes. If I open it on my MacBookPro late 2013 on Mojave 10.14.6 with the latest stable 1.10.4 version, it opens without any problems. Well… that sucks for now… any ideas?
  17. @Dan C Thanks for the detailed explanation. Clear to me but what a mess! With the new system since Mojave, even connecting a Wacom tablet with security settings, it's a pain… not in the right direction though. I've downloaded the beta and it's way much better… thanks. Let's wait for osx 12.1 and see if things gets better and faster. It's a shame with such MacBookPro monsters, Apple somehow slow them down with system bugs. But as as longtime time user, it's just a "Déjà vu". Thanks for making good apps and having a good support.
  18. @Dan C No, it only takes the time to launch the document. I've done some more test with launching the app only: Launching Affinity Publisher only (without any document - it takes 18.9 seconds on the MacBookPro 16inches M1Pro 16/16/1Tb - it takes 9.40 seconds on the old MacBookPro Retina late 2013 So weird and frustrating.
  19. Thanks for the feedback. Which version of Affinity Publisher and which version of Monterey do you have? I'll try to test several different files as you've suggested though… Yeah, this is weird…
  20. Hi, I'm testing the new MacBookPro 16 inches M1Pro 16/16/1Tb for 2 weeks now. It's a gorgeous machine but I'm an aware graphic designer with steady full experience in Apple environment and this is the first time, since my MacBookPro Retina late 2013, that I want to try a new Apple computer made for a professional. In my tests, the MacBookPro 16 inches M1Pro 16/16/1Tb is running osx Monterey 12.0.1 and MacBookPro Retina late 2013 is running osx Mojave 10.14.6. Despite the fact that the internal SSD drive is like 10 times the speed of the SSD of the old MacBookPro Retina late 2013, I have some very disturbing real time benchmarks and real impressions of slugginess with the brand new 16-inch M1Pro 16/16/1Tb: A 41Mb Affinity Publisher 1.10.4 file: - takes 16.4 seconds to open from the SSD on the MacBookPro 16 inches M1Pro 16/16/1Tb - takes 11.5 seconds to open from the AFP mounted 1 Gigabits network volume on the same MacBookPro 16 inches M1Pro 16/16/1Tb - takes 3 seconds!! to open the file from the AFP mounted network volume on the old MacBookPro Retina late 2013 What a nice surprise! Seriously, anybody is having same issues? It seems to be the same with Affinity Photo, Adobe Photoshop CC 2021… but my Affinity Publisher test is the most relevant so far. Best, N
  21. These insane OS updates are rendering crappy and unsteady situations. Mmh… let's see what's happening with the final upcoming 12.1 then…
