  1. Hello Serif, same old problem with NET. Total failure during install. Win10 up to date. Michael
  2. That statement rather astonishes me as a long time DP user as is the originator of this thread. DP is discontinued, a Serif product, vector drawing; Affinity seems to reflect those or am I also misunderstanding things? Perhaps the statement needs a little more amplification for past customers? Understandably it is entirely new code but surely its functions are fundamentally similar? There is nothing one can export from DP that can be imported by Affinity to continue editing so far as I can find. Whilst backward compatibility would be impractical possibly a final addition to DP for such an export would be helpful unless Affinity will open CAD/CAM exports. Will Affinity eventually have an AI export, which remains an industry standard for use in 3D software for textures and spline creation? Michael ms.fuentecilla
  3. Just to join in with an opinion on this I prefer to work with separate programmes that are capable of good exchange, having also been working with graphics extensively since 1986. Please don't bundle Photo and Designer together! This really does cause headaches. Michael
  4. This is an interesting situation. I could find no export options in DPP that would open in Affinity but do realise that the two are chalk and cheese. Shall attempt to do an export and open (or import?) option in Affinity. For the most part I have used DrawPlus for titling effects via PhotoPlus into MoviePlus with occasional drawn frames. This I would hope to continue doing with the equivalent Affinity series. Previously I had used Illustrator and other Adobe software. At present I am travelling extensively during summer vacation so have limited time and resources to explore Affinity. Most of all though I use PhotoPlus and keenly anticipate Affinity Photo. Michael
