  1. I create occasionally an extensive frametext and want to arrange an object or a picture at the side. The object/picture protrude a little bit into the frametext. I think, in ADwin I have no reasonable chance at the moment, that the text flows automatically around the object/picture). In CorelDraw I can do this without problems (right mouse click on the object and choosing „flow around the frametext“) - see attached jpg. In my opinion this is a basic routine, that ADwin should master.
  2. When I try to open "normal" AD-pdfs with CorelDraw X7, I get the message: file is corrupted. Now I opened a pdf in my "PDF XChange Viewer" (without problems) and saved it again. Now I can open the pdf in CorelDraw trouble-free, too. It seems that CorelDraw is very sensitive and the export in ADwin contains something unexpected. Maybe ADwin is slightly different from the pdf-standard?
  3. Thank you Mark, that's it. Movements without any changing: mouse wheel = vertical movement (up/down) mouse wheel + Alt = vertical movement, too mouse wheel + Strg = zoom mouse wheel + Strg + Shift = zoom mouse wheel + Shift = horizontal movement (left/right) Movements, when in preferences/tools/“use mouse wheel to zoom“ is activated: mouse wheel = zoom mouse wheel + Alt = zoom, too mouse wheel + Shift = zoom, too mouse wheel + Strg = vertical movement (up/down) mouse wheel + Strg + Shift = horizontal movement (left/right) A bit confusing, but now all the movements are possible.
  4. Thank you Mark, mouse wheel + Shift activates the horizontal scrolling only when in preferences/tools/“use mouse wheel to zoom“ is NOT activated. After activating this: mouse wheel + Shift = zoom.
  5. I‘m accustomed to use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out. This I can activate in the preferences. But then i miss the possibility of horizontal movement (left/right). I think this is a little bug that can easiliy corrected. 6. I tried once again: I created a square (10x10mm) with a cross in the middle, arrangement by AD in the middle of the sheet. AD shows: 105 mm x 148,5 mm. In the print the middle point is unfortunately about: 108 mm x 152 mm. The print of Corel is o.k (see green object). (See attached pdf). Does anyone know what could be the reason for that difference? comparison-Corel-AD.pdf print-test-middle.afdesign
  7. I print sometimes with an exact distance from the top (or side) of the page to avoid cutting. There are no problems in CorelDraw (see test-print-Corel.pdf)! Unfortunately AD is adding always 3mm to the top of the page and 2 -3 mm to the left side (see test-print-AD) - so I must cut 3 mm respectively 2 mm. Moreover you cannot work precisely when adding other markings regarding the top or the side of the page. Apart from that the dimensions of the objects are exact. 8. Hi Alfred, I have overlooked the normal Garineldo. You are right: Garineldo seems to be FoglihtenNo07 That appears to me the same way. The "Garineldo" in your file will be displayed as "?Garineldo".
  9. Thank you Sean, I have not noticed that there is 1.5.0.7. now. After installing there is no crash when opening the upper file. In the fonts menu I see now all the three shelley and the two garineldo fonts. Nevertheless I get the following message (see attached jpg). By the way: By starting the new AD 1.5.0.7. my avira stopped the program (see attached jpg "Meldung Avira"), tested it, and after a "o.k." could start regularly AD. In previous versions I have not experienced that.
  10. Hi Alfred, I noticed another error: When I click on your attached file and say open, (the before started) AD crashes (see attached jpg). I have to download the file first and then I can open it.
  11. In CorelDraw I click on the right slider (for verical movements) and there is a refresh.
  12. When I will change the orientation from landcape to portrait I see in the document setup that the checkmark for portrait is already set. So I press o.k. But nothing happens. Solution: I must clear the checkmark und set it again. Only then the orientation is altered to portrait. (From portrait to landscape there is no problem, because you have to clear the checkmark of „portrait“ yourself). I think this is a little bug.
  13. In build 1.5.0.6 the error (printing) has been corrected. Thanks
  14. When I print, I must always (even if I will print the file immediately again !) change in the printer menu from „letter“ to „A4“. It would make sense, that the once set value would be preserved.
  15. Please create a new feature in AD: A button that by pressing allows to see a full-screen view of what you are working on, without menues, without helplines (guides) or other annoying things - that means, you see only what your printer will print. I like in CorelDraw very much, that you can do so by pressing F9. What you now see without disturbing menues or helplines, is that what will be printed. Press F9 again (or Esc) and you are back on your last “work screen”. See attached files:
  16. Thank you, i will use your tip. But the helplines are still visible. I would like to see only, what the printer will print.
  17. I like in CorelDraw very much, that you can press F9 and it will only be displayed, what you have just worked on, on the screen you see nothing else (only the mouse cursor). What you now see without disturbing menues, is that what will be printed. Press F9 again (or Esc) and you are back on your last “work screen”. See attached files: Is there in AD such a wonderful feature?
  18. Thank you hbutz, very impressive.
  19. Is there the possibility to get an iOS beta version of AP? My iPad is yearningly waiting for this.
  20. I have the same problem when I try to open "normal" AD-pdfs with CorelDraw X7 (=error). I found that the only way is to export pdfs in AD as PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-3. Then I can import these pdfs im CorelDraw.
  21. I have designed a leaflet for congratulations (see attached AD-file). The font used is Arial, because I think, each PC can master Arial. In my original I use other fonts that fit much better for greeting cards (see attached pdf). Please don’t change the sheet “DIN-A4” on the left side. Change only the pages 1 – 4 on the right side. The changes, you do, will automatically be implemented in the “DIN-A4”-sheet in the correct manner (so I hope). Do not be surprised: Pages 2 und 3 will be rotated about 180 degrees! When finished, please print (in the range-menue) only the DIN-A4-sheet !! Then fold the printed sheet backwards and fold it again. You have now a DIN A6-sheet (look at the attached pdf). In CorelDraw there is a special layout-template, that does this automatically. Unfortunately in AD I didn’t find such a template. My method: I created in artboard a Din-A4 sheet and four Din-A 6 sheets. I edited these Din-A 6 sheets. Then I used the new Symbols panel (View > Studios > Symbols) and created a symbol of each of the four Din-A 6 sheets. Finally I pulled these symbols into the Din-A4 sheet and arranged them in the correct manner. Unfortunately I had to delete the flower pictures, as the file would have become too big otherwise. 22. Thank you Alfred for your tip, thank you Sean for removing the fonts.
  23. Thank you Sean, I will wait for the next build and then try again. KoBu
