  1. On iPad Pro, Affinity Designer After pasting text from a web page on a Frame Text area, the background color (white) came with other formatting (font, size etc). It displayed as a white strip in each line of text (like highlight on a Word processor). See attached image. I didn't find where to change background color on text. The option is not available on iOS (as it is in Mac OS, see below). As a workaround, I've pasted the text in Google Keep and copied from there. On Mac OS, Affinity Designer Text pastes without the background and the text Character pallete shows color options for both foreground and background color. See image
  2. Last December me and two colleagues were featured in a newspaper article about calligraphers, type designers and letterers in our town (Florianópolis, Brazil). The editor also invited us to create the cover for the art supplement. Each of us took a word of the title and did it according to our speciality. Then, I've assembled the three contributions in Affinity Photo. Here's a machine translation of my blog post detailing the process: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.ivanjeronimo.com.br/essays/2017/01/com-capa-coletiva-jornal-destaca-mercado-das-letras-em-florianopolis/
  3. Selecting the option "Tampa de topo" (Portuguese for "top end" I guess) make the path transparent. When the other 2 end types are selected (rounded or square), path reverts to normal. Opacity was set to 100% in all cases (didn't change this adjustment). I'm attaching detail screenshots.
  4. I also would like to vote for some functionality to close a path when drawing with the pencil tool. Not so important, but the blob brush would be an welcome addition.
