Editing in Affintiy does not get saved in Apple Photo

I select to modify a photo in Apple Photo, and than to edit directly in Affinity photo. Affinity Photo opens and works finer, than I save and close and I go back to Apple Photo. I select to save the modifications, but it does not work. At this point, the system stops and a message says: "Impossible to modifify with Edit in Affinity Photo. An unexpected error has occurred". I have not been able to solve the issue until now. maurizio

One news: I just exported it anyway, and it worked. The exported file show the correct content, despite the blank preview. maurizio

If I try to export one specific photo that combines two jpeg files, I can not export it to jpeg or any format. In the preview I see only an empty backgrround. Iit never happened to me, I do not know what could have caused the problem. How could I fix it? Thanks, maurizio
