Hello! This was my first attempt at a completely digital 'painting', which I ended up using stop-motion animation to turn into a short video. The artwork was created in Affinity Photo using the NB Master Watercolor brush set. Fox is actually the name of our pet Cockeral and Isla is my daughter. It was originally part of a larger piece which included a full portrait of Isla, but in the end, I decided to spin it out into a standalone piece. The portrait is ongoing. Hello @Callum, It was the Master Watercolor Affinity Brushes from Design Cuts - Washes. It's a fairly tricky one as it can be quite a long time before the app crashes or it can be within seconds as in the video. Thanks for looking into it.

I have been having this issue for a couple of years but always put it down to the particular brush set I was using or something unique to my setup, however, I have now experienced it on different macs and with multiple brush sets which makes me think it must be a wider issue. Affinity Photo 2.1.1 crashes after varying lengths of time when using certain brushes in a specific way. I have encountered it when using 'wash' style brushes as a mark-maker, rotating and placing them multiple times in a short period of time. • The issue happens with Hardware acceleration on and off. • It happens on Intel and Arm-based Macs • It has occurred on at least the last 2 versions of macOS including Ventura • It also happens whilst in Affinity Publisher Photo persona • Affinity Photo 1.x up until the latest version of Affinity Photo 2 is affected • It happens across all files including newly created ones • Brushes affected include Master Watercolor Light Wash 3 and Dreamphography Smoke 3 Stamp I have attached the crash report, a copy of a test file, and a video showing the issue occurring (the crash occurs when the screen goes black).
