Hi I have an iMac desktop. I have just bought and upgraded to Affinity Photo 2.4.0 and also bought Topaz photo AI 2.4.0. I want to use Topaz as a plug in to Affinity. Topaz has simple instructions on how to do this (edit-preferences-photoshop plugins- allow unknown plugins…..) Unfortunately this doesn’t work on the Mac with the most recent Affinity version. I have found Affinity2- settings-photoshop plugins - but then I get this (see picture) what do I do next?? I should say I describe myself as a computer user. I am not terribly proficient so need clear instructions. Thanks Sue

Paul, Thanks. Just had a quick play. As you say if I just shoot in RAW problem solved (I think). This was never a problem in the past but shooting in RAW will solve the problem at present until Affinity/Apple sort it out, and stop me from being lazy and just accepting the JPEG picture without further consideration. Paul, Thanks for those lovely clear instructions. I think it may be showing where the problem lies??. I load my photos onto my iPad strait from the SD card. My photo in apple photos is marked JPEG+RAW, However when I try to move it to files, it seems to be JPEG only. Do I have a problem with my iPad settings somewhere??

Walt, That’s my problem. I know I’m unable to upload RAW files into Affinity 2, I was trying to upload a RAW file here at Paul’s request.

I describe myself as an “iPad user”. Ie I am not very good at tech. I have just tried to upload a file from my RAW folder. As these pictures are both jpeg and raw (I presume showing the jpeg picture with a raw file attached) I am not 100% sure I have uploaded a RAW file. How can I check? If I’ve not got this right you may have to talk me through uploading a RAW file from my iPad. - Thanks

I’m having the same problem. It’s so frustrating not being able to open RAW files. Tried using “shortcut” with no improvement. Just wondered if others were using OM system cameras? ORF files?? Any update on when it may get fixed?
