  1. I am very glad I changed from Adobe to Affinity, as I have the strong feeling, that you guys really listen to your customers. Thank you very much for LISTENING aaaand fixing!
  2. Hello all, I found two BIG bugs: 1) Affinity Photo crashes when I want to change the CANVAS size of a document – as well in an existing document as in a new one. It allows me to change it once, e.g. Pixel to Picas, but as soon I change it one more time, it crashes. Pixel, picas, crash. Millimeter, Zentimeter, crash ... 2) Even worse: Trying to change the DOCUMENT'S size, the sliders on the left disappear! While it is normal to have 3 sliders for height and width and dpi, two of them (h+w) disappear one after another, when I change the units of measurement for the second time (see above). Pixel, Punkt: width-slider gone. One more click to Picas: height-slider gone. And they don't come back again! I am only able to change the dpi ... It is the german Version 2.3.1 on an iPad Pro (5th), and yes, I turned the iPad on and off again. I hadn’t had this before. Can anybody help me? PLEASE! It is very urgent! Thank you!!!
  3. Thank you Paul and Callum!!!! I don’t know, what it was, but today it works again. 🤷‍♀️ I didn’t do anything since yesterday when I followed Pauls advices and also restarted the programm and the iPad twice without a change. It was a problem for some days but disappeared suddenly. Strange. If it comes back, I will try to record it. And yes, I use an Apple Pencil and I think it was also when I switched to enlarge the screen or so. But first, PROBLEM SOLVED. Sorry for bothering! And thanks for your effords!
  4. Unfortunatly no. I went back to factory settings and afterwards reset all. The only result is, that my saved color palettes are gone now.
  5. I got a huge problem that is very hard to explain, because it is not following any rules. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. And that immensly disturbs my work process. I use Designer for drawing. For my illustrations I use the PENCIL tool: I first draw the outlines (solid line). In between I often change thickness and pressure of the lines in the stroke panel, then go back and draw the next line. When it comes to coloring, I draw the form, then change the color, go back to draw the next form. (I think that is how drawing works, haha). And it all worked very well until some days ago! Now, sometimes (!) after I changed the pressure of my outline or the color of my filling, the pen does not react. Same, when I undo things. Or change the tool and come back to the pencil. I have to draw once or twice the same thing, until the line appears – what disturbs my workflow, because I have to draw twice. Sometimes. Not always. And that does not make things better. Can anybody help? Is it a bug or did I ruin something in the settings? THANKS A LOT!
  6. I had the same problem with Affinity Photo on my iPad Pro (12,9 and 5th generation, OS_version 16.2, 128 GB). I reduced then some of my layers, thinking the file was too big – and it helped. Only a short time, but the noises were gone for a while. Does this help?
  7. I already did with Designer Yesterday I had to return to Illustrator and was impressed, how annoying the workflow is. I am an Affinity fan now.
  8. Thank you Paul! Actually, I am really glad I switched over to Affinity, but after working with Photoshop for 19 years, Affinity confuses me sometimes. So more patience and a good forum with friendly (and patient!) members help a lot.
  9. Hi, this thread is even older now, but I still do not find a tool or filter to transform on my iPad. Nobody here seems to have a problem with this, so I must be blind. (Not the first time in my life!) I would appreciate a lot if someone could tell me, where on earth (sorry, but I am searching for an hour now) I find a tool to distort a pixel image in Photo on my iPad. I see it on the desktop version, but I can’t flip always while drawing ... THANK YOU! EDIT: Found it. Didn’t expected it under hundreds of Filters and an icon that looks like an hourglass.
  10. .oO(It’s the first time I really have the impression that someone is listening ... Thank you so much!)
  11. Yes, please! Bring back the trash button! My work flow will be MUCH faster then again. THANKS!
  12. Wow, thank you for the fast and good explication!!! It’s a shame, but okay, now I am happy again using Affinity Well, what I do now is use my old Adobe Version (CS6, I bought it years ago, so why not reanimate it?) to open the (Affinity-) EPS file, then go to OBJECT > Artboards > Fit to Artwork Bounds. So at least I can shrink the canvas to the picture bounds that is much faster than correct the canvas itself. It works for me, because my client does not expect an exact canvas size. Maybe this would help others ...?
  13. Still nobody found out how it works? It is 4 years now and still I cannot import an EPS correctly into AI. Thank you!
  14. Is it true, that within 3 years nothing had happend regarding the import of XML in Publisher? I am quite a fan of Affinity but/and this would be a great and essential thing for me as designer. Thank you!!!
