  1. Hello @Dan C, Many tyhanks for your fast and exhaustive answer! No real inconveniences, on the contrary: I'm happy to help AP in fixing a bug! đŸ™‚ Regards, Maxbe
  2. Opening a Leica Q3 raw file with AP V2.4 nothing has changed: from the lenses side there is still the generic indication of "Leica Q2 & compatibles", and AP loos like it does not recognize the camera type (so to set automatically the lens type, whatever it is). Apart from this, I do not understand in what other places the support for the Q3 is shown. Is it silent in some way? Just help me to understand… Thanks!
  3. You're absolutely right. I did not mention the fact that it runs on Windows only, sorry. max
  4. I agree. I think that in this case Leica does not care so much what is the connected editor. The app already does what it must do: downloading the images. Integrate the editor is a "plus" (moreover a feature which is not present in the Android version) I think that an integrated editor could help a little a Leica customer to choose that solution against an external one, so it is quite interesting for the editor producers to come forward and try to be integrated, gaining so exposition and business Maxbe
  5. With the today update of Leica FOTOS iPad app the images uploaded using it can be edited directly with Capture One too. Previously the editors available as native by the app were Lightroom and Darkroom. Is it there some idea so that also AP could become a native editor for Leica FOTOS? That would be very interesting for the Leica owners. (we know that AP is one of the few editors which does have a specific iPad version, a great advantage in this case). Maxbe
  6. Perfect! Thanks! This is exactly what I was seraching for Have a nice day! Maxbe
  7. I understand that this argument may be a little confusing: the support to build HDR images (i.e. using differently exposed images), which of course is well already supported by AP, and supporting HDR monitors are two totally different things (take a look at the video).
  8. Recently Lightroom introduced the support for tue HDR monitors. This feature has been quite well explained in the video below Now the queston is: what about AP? Is this mode already supported in some way? If not, will it be supported in next releases?
  9. I believe that having a support forum where 3 products live together (Photo, Designer, Publisher) generate a lot of confusion in asking question and retrieving answers, but overall is a nightmare for who reads the forum to get a continuous flow of information for a specific product. Given too that the daily number of post is high, IMHO it is too complcate to manage: one may just follow a question which is raides by himself, finding the rest is very complcated . I understand that there are questions which are common between the various products, but I've never seen any forum where different products are supported all together, creating a confused mix of information, which overrides the small advantage of a sigle support flow where some of the issues are common among the different products. 10. Hi Dan C, Many thanks for your prompt answer! Now I understand what is the meaning of "... & compatibles" Thanks too for the DNG suggestion (the fact that Leica call their raw files DNG too maybe another little source of confusion). Your suggestion is vey welcome (of course having the camera included in the FlibRAW library simplify the workflow): Have a nice day! Maxbe
  11. Whad does "Leica Q2 & compatibles" mean, as supported camera? Leica Q3 is not officially supported, and has a different sensor than the Q2 (and the Q), so it is not clear what the phrase does mean. Any idea? Hope that the Q3 will be officially supported ASAP, anyway.
  12. I've used many of them, both professional and amateur products. In the end (I'm an amateur) I chose IMatch (https://www.photools.com/) by far the most complete (and not by subscription) IMHO. Excellent product, extremely powerful and very well supported. Try it! Maxbe
  13. That is what I was thinking too (and it is too the most obvious interpretation), but the (apparent) quality of the view with Irfanview/Imatch is so high (looking at 100% size) that made me think... Tweaking with settings (at least with Irfanview) I was able to force the load of the original raw, that (as is, SOOC) is less impressive than the preview! I agree too that AP is unlikely to apply vendor specific settings, which (thinking better) vendors will probably not show publicly...
  14. A raw file is open by AP as raw (of course), with no correction, but in case the camera is set to shoot (say) in raw and B&W (or any other specific "film emulation" setting given by the different camera producers) if I open the raw with other tools (like Imatch or Irfanview), the camera emulation setting is applied. This is more evident with Fuji, where this kind of emulations are widely used, but it is the same with Nikon or Leica, just to say. This impilies that the raw files embeds somewhere this type of information and Imatch/Irfanview use them to show the image with such settings. The question is: is it there some way to tell AP to open the raw file using the camera emulation settings (hopefully in Develop Persona)? Maxbe
  15. I'm happy to be not alone in this, thanks Denuoermont. I strongly believe that the image authenticity issue (especially against AI) will gain a lot of interest in the near future, both for professionals, but for amateur too (in particular to who will partecipate in contests). I think that AP can't stay behind in this argument. Maxbe
