I am only telling you my experience and what worked.

This is the second computer I have tested this method on with success. I have had not much luck on a year-old build of WIN 10 With Affinity 2 or V1 after the 22H2 update. Maybe some have but I have not on 3 different PCs. I will first let you know what has not worked for me. Failed attempt one PC installed the other no such luck. Failed stability / install issues with no fix after trying multiple suggestions. I let windows upgrade to Win 11 from 10 and that was a disaster. It resulted in nothing but performance and stability issues for Affinity Photo 2 and one PC would not even install the application. Successful attempt large file resulting in good performance and not one crash or lag. I wiped the OS and performed a clean install and then installed all updates and ensured drivers and OS was functioning perfectly. ( Nvidia Studio Driver ) After that I installed Affinity 2 with success. Files below also attached is the Affinity file if you want to open, I had zero performance issues. Cheers! Oh, believe me I am not the only career video producer to leave Premiere Pro. I have use Premiere Pro since 1999. So, you can say I have been in the game for quite a while. I have no problem reporting bugs but it takes a good bit of time like wasting it talking to you. If Serif wants me to spend a whole day beta testing and reporting bugs rather than getting work done there needs to be some reward for me spending a day reporting a bugs. I already had to clean install Win 11 to get V2 to work.

Small bugs that is normal but an application not installing and just disappearing while in use is not a good look. This was across 3 PC's when I tested it. Or I love the one with V1 after the H22 update if you select text and hit a letter like I to quickly jump to a font it just says ✌️. I have never used Blender or Gimp and the application does not install or randomly disappear with a light load. Sure when the PC is under heavy use with big files that is something you have to deal with when resources are low. Am I lucky or is the other pogroms just more polished. I have 4 PC’s to test it on. Maybe we need more beta testers give me a stab at it next time.

here it is again.... This solution is a pain, but it worked for me. I noticed even while using affinity V1 along with the most recent updates from Serif in combination with the window 10 22H2 update. PC basic specs below… PC3 RTX 3060 i9900x 64GB ram WIN 10 Home All the Affinity applications started to act laggy. This included actions such as.. . slow startup, tools lagging for a bit after selecting for the first time, just annoying things that impeded workflow. The big issue was whenever you wanted to type a letter to quickly access a font the programs would just say peace and close. I was able to work around this issue buy simply adding favorite fonts. Ok enough of V1 here is my fix for V2. Win 10 22H2 no matter what solution posted in the forums I could not get it to install. Solution: Back up everything on your PC Note: Remember I said this was going to suck.. 1. Make a USB install flash drive of Win 11 there are plenty of videos how to do this. 2. Be sure to locate your Win 10 key. 3. Boot in bios and direct your system to load from the USB drive. 4. When the win 11 installation opens do not choose upgrade delete all the partitions on your system drive. This will ensure windows performs a clean installation. 5. Make a new allocation for your system drive make sure you use the entirety of the drive and allow windows to make its own. 6. Install windows and be sure all drives, updates, are completely up to date before installing any applications. 7. Install Affinity and it works! It is Miller time boys and girl. Ronny oh Ronny..... That is the point bud. If an open-source free application can create software that does not have a bunch of bugs, then so can Serif. Same deal with Blender that application is also rock solid. Let me further elaborate the point if you don’t grasp it. Example: Adobe Premiere Pro, I loved the application, but Adobe always blamed the PC or hardware and user for the reason the application crashed like our current economy. I jumped ship to DaVinci and happy I did far less headaches and errors. No matter how much I like an application if it is full of annoying bugs that the company does not take the time to fully test before people pay for it… Then shame on them! You don’t sell an application and make the user a beta tester. Adobe is king for this and why I no longer use them. Get the point now Ronny? My only hope is Serif will see this and not become another Adobe.

NOTE: I planned to only use Affinity 2 on PC3 but it would not install. I only installed the application on 3 different PCs just for troubleshooting purposes and will uninstall whenever I get the application to work on PC3. PC1 3070 laptop 5900XH 64GB RAM WIN 10 It will open hang the respond. New documents hang then respond. Text hang then respond. I turned off hardware acceleration same issue guys. It looks like it is still using the GPU even when it is deactivated in preferences. “See images” PC2 RTX 2070 3700x 64GB RAM WIN 11 Will crash instantly when GPU acceleration is on. When GPU is off works fine. PC3 RTX 3060 i9900x 64GB ram WIN 10 Will not install no matter what I try. I am upgrading PC3 to WIN 11 and will report what I find.

How about Affinity just make something that works for $100 gimp works and it is free. "No Excesses" I also will ask for a refund soon is not fixed 🤦‍♂️ Nothing but bugs all the time.

Mine will hang on startup then respond. Text hangs then responds new file hangs then responds. I really like the software but stability needs to be fixed. Gimp is more stable and free. 🤦‍♂️
