  1. So windows 11 is the problem. It's my suggestion how the icon should be displayed. This is the original screenshot. You and PaulEC are both using Windows 10. So now I know it's the compatibility issue between Windows 11 and Affinity.
  2. This bug is back with Photo Beta 2.1.0.1714. I'm running both beta and stable version and ver 2.0.4 stable works fine. So weird. I'm using: latest Nvidia Studio Driver. P/s: I don't create new thread in Beta forum because I don't want any double topic about this bug.
  3. Yes, I agree. Honestly I like V1 UI more than V2, especially "Layers" panel. Working with V2 Layer panel really a challenge when I have much layers/groups.
  4. I don't know why Serif removed affinity icon on thumbnail of the affinity files. I think users need this, especially me. I always export file into the same folder as affinity files. So there are no different between affinity files thumb and image files thumb when I switch to thumbnail view. It's hard to notice which files are affinity files. Is it a bug or do i miss something? If not, I hope Serif could add this feature back. The attached file is my suggestion. I'm using: Affinity V2.0.4 and 2.1.0.1714 beta, Windows 11 latest stable version. The original screenshot that represents the issue. My suggestion: How the icon should be displayed.
  5. Hi all, I just find out that expanding pressure stroke works fine with Pencil instead of Vector Brush. This bug was not happen with Pencil. So I can live with that lol
  6. My solution is helping you fix the color Balance and still using latest driver. Because I did it and it worked fine. The last step "Keeping version 517.40" is just an optional.
  7. @Rene B Try this method if you want the Color Balance works well with latest Nvidia driver: 1. Clean uninstall the driver, restart PC. 2. Download the old driver: version 517.40 and install. 3. Restart PC then use Geforce Experience to update the driver. So if version 517.40 works fine to you. Just stay with it, don't update and don't forget to turn off "auto update" on Geforce Experience settings.
  8. Yeah, embedding in help system is a good suggestion. If highlights on menu, we can easily toggle on/off the highlights by 1 click I guess.
  9. Crop bounding box transformation could be much more better if we can do that by hover the mouse and drag wherever along with the bounding border instead of hovering the center point of the vertical/horizontal bounding border.
  10. I think highlight new features on menus could help user easier examine them. Not just for all version but for big leap versions/big updates I guess.
  11. If you guys have no luck with latest Nvidia driver. My recommendation is download and install the Standard version instead of DCH version (old but solve the issue) https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us (version 472.84 works with no issue) or try to roll back to ver 517.40
  12. Same issue but just happen with tif file 8 bit. PNG, tif 16 bit works fine.
  13. Update: I just tried to export .tif file with 16 bit color depth then it worked fine. I don't know why it only did happen with 8 bit depth .tif You can test with my attached files. render 8 bit.tif render 16 bit.tif
  14. Hi, I got a weird issue with AP V2. When I opened a transparent ".tif" file which was rendered from Blender, AP did not open as transparent background, it did auto fill the transparent area of the image with black color. I've tested with different format: PNG, Targa, Webp,... it works fine. ❌ I've tried to: - Change all color profile of the Blender render setting => Not work. - Use "File / Open" menu instead => Not work. - Remove, re-install, update to latest Nvidia Studio / Game driver => Not work. ✅ This bug did not happen with/when: - AP V1 - Other transparent image format: png, targa, webp,... - Create new AP transparent background then drag/drop the rendered .tif file into that new AP file. I also uploaded the tif file, the color profile of the image and the video that demonstrates the bug then you can see the issue more clearly. Anything I can do to fix this weirdo? As an 3D artist, especially CGI photography, rendered .tif file is a must working file I do everyday, I hope this could be fix soon. Thanks for stopping by 🙏 Affinity Photo V2 Tif Transparent Open Bug.mp4 cube tif test.tif
  15. When expand stroke from a pressure brush path, the shape become smaller than the original stroke. It seems like this bug has not been fixed yet. Is there any plan to fix this? I hope yes. 2022-12-20 09-58-42.mp4
  16. Hm... So weird! I'm using RTX 3060ti, maybe you should try to switch to Game Driver, or clean remove the driver and clean re-install, update the Os to the latest release, update the dotNet, reset settings for Nvidia Control Panel, etc... And you should test on another computer with similar system specs and different system specs. Good luck mate.
  17. After updated to Studio Driver 527.56 (Release date Dec 08 2022), my color balance adjustment works fine now (Both stable and beta version).
  18. Sure thing. I always update to the latest driver immediately whenever new driver was released.
  19. I just test Affinity Designer 2 beta. There is an issue. When I drag and drop, import, open,... an AI file (save as with any version from Adobe Illustrator). There are zero layer at all in Affinity Designer. This only happen with V2 beta. V2 stable is ok.
  20. @Dan C It happen with all kinds of photo files. But, Nvidia just released a new driver yesterday, and the problem solved. It's all about the Nvidia driver for sure. Thanks for your response. @Nicolas.yax Update to the lastest Nvidia driver then we are happy. It's a driver issue.
