Would you be able to upload the original image for me here so I can have a go at cropping and exporting please? Did you do the following steps? - Open > Crop > Export - or something else? 👍

Hi @ccmilbrot Welcome to the Affinity forums! I'm sorry to hear you are having some issues with export. Is this issue specific to this image or have you seen it happen on other images? Would you be able to upload the image here so I can take a look? Just out of interest do the horizontal lines appear in the same place each time?

Hi @Canterslowly Sorry to hear you have experienced crashing and your Assets were somehow removed. Can you upload a video of the issue where you experience the while line and the "not responding". It would be helpful to see the kinds of situations where this happens and the steps to reproduce it. I'd like to try and recreate this issue to see if I can get it to delete Assets too.

Thank you for the additional info Nicki. I was unable to recreate this on my M1 laptop but have just had this on my iMac 4/4. I'll get that logged and pass it on to the Development team. As a workaround: I found that if you export as a PDF and then attempt to Share > Add to Photos it doesn't crash. I can still open Finder > Locate the image + Ctrl click > Share > Add to Photos and it doesn't crash either.

Hi @NicoftheDogs Sorry to hear you are experiencing crashing. Can you tell me if this is document specific or does it happen every time you try and export to photos? If it is document specific can you upload the file here please? Would you also be able to upload a video of this issue happening for me too? This will mean I can follow it step-by-step in an attempt to recreate it as I have been unable to reproduce this issue so far. I am using a MacBook Pro with Big Sur.

Hi @quad Sorry to hear you are experiencing crashing. Could you upload your 26 page document here please so I can take a look? When it crashes do you get a crash log or does it just freeze until you force quit the app? If you do get a crash log could you also upload that too?

@chilacho Using the steps above I tested a 2 page document and a 3 page document. I found that adding them would crash the app if I added After Last Page but not if I added After / Before / Replacing. Once I had successfully added pages from another document choosing one of these I could then add pages After Last Page without a crash. Interestingly, I found 1 page documents could be added After Last Page any time. There is a workaround in there, albeit an annoying one.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble launching the app. https://store.serif.com/update/macos/publisher/1/ Out of interest did you buy it from the Affinity store or the Mac App Store? If you bought it from the Affinity store could I ask you to try Publisher 1.8.6 to see if that works for you.

The crash has been logged and is present on both Mac and Windows. I will add this information to the issue 👍 @ashf Regarding the original issue - can you upload a video of this so I can compare it with another issue that has also been logged? I want to see if it's the same problem or a new one.

Thanks, I've managed to get that to happen with other documents too. It's been logged and passed on to the development team.

It must be something specific that is making it crash. All I can advise is to save often so you don't lose any work if it does crash again. It might also be worth selecting "Save History With Document" from the File menu in case you forget what you were doing next time you have a crash.

Hi @edlingerth Welcome to the Affinity forums! I am sorry you are having this issue. Is this issue document specific? If so can you upload it here so I can take a look for you please? I edited the post to include the crash log as a PDF as it's more convenient for us and = less scrolling.

Hi @M.Maciel I have now opened the file in the 1.9.1 Beta and was able to delete all instances of the hidden pinned text mentioned above. I've saved it and it will now open and save in 1.9. I'm going to upload it and send it to you. Could you please take a look and let me know if it's now working ok?

HI @faj I have recreated the crash in 1.9.0 but I managed to open and save in the 1.9.1 Beta. I noticed you had a number of hidden pinned text boxes on your Master pages that were causing it to crash and I think I've deleted them all and am now able to open and save in 1.9. I will upload the file to the Dropbox folder and send you the link. Could you let me know if it's all working ok for you?

Hi @pm delvern Welcome to the Affinity forums! Sorry to hear you are having this issue. As @blackstone said above, this issue is known and a fix is coming soon. In the meantime it is best to just group the rectangles and leave the text box ungrouped.
