I fully agree with jmwellborn please don't give up on us old novices. I would feel so alone without knowing there are people like you, who are prepared to help folks like me.
I don't know about anyone else but the challenge of learning something new in your 70's is great - but I for one do get confused and need help often. It is challenging for me to get my head around some of the concepts of layers and stuff. I have, no I am having a wonderful interesting life, and that is because people like you have helped me along the way.
Regards to you all

Thank you for this understandable process. It is so easy when you understand. I have done it with success this morning. Let me explain - I am in my 70's and am fit and healthy (at the moment). I deliberately and constantly look for things which interest me and that I know nothing about. I invest in the idea and spend my time learning new stuff. I invested in the Affinity suit of programs, Designer, Photo and Publisher. I am having a great time getting myself confused, only because I do not yet understand the concepts behind the software. I have watch hours of videos on Youtube and Affinity, but when I come to do it I naturally forget some little detail. It's fun for me but frustrating at times. It is what I do. Anyhow, many many thanks for your time and understanding you've made a MIDDLE AGED man very happy. If I get stuck again I hope I may call on your assistance?
Best Regards
Gordon
