  1. Apparently what worked for me isn't working for everyone, so above I posted the additional detail of what I can remember doing. Maybe that will give devs some more relevant information!
  2. The other thing I did which maybe is relevant, is that when the beta didn't run first of all, I uninstalled the Windows store version (after selecting reset from advanced options, then uninstall), then when I ran the beta version it complained that the Windows store version needed to be installed (for license information) so what I did (as exactly as I remember): Downloaded and installed the beta version. On running, this didn't appear to launch. Uninstall Windows store version from add or remove programs - select advanced options - select reset, select uninstall Ran the beta version, which complained that Windows store version was needed for license info Re-installed the Windows store version Ran the beta version again - which didn't actually launch (as before), but also didn't appear to error as to why it didn't launch Ran the Windows store version - which now allowed me to login to my Affinity account. Uninstalled the beta version (which is a simple uninstall - no advanced option this time) Ran the Windows store version again, logged into my account and downloaded all my additional content. Repeated the above for both Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo Hope this helps, or at least gives the developers some clues as to what the problem might be generally!
  3. A solution that has worked for me by temporarily installing the beta version
  4. Good afternoon, Good news - I am now able to log into my account from my Surface Book 2 (as well as my desktop computer - which as mentioned previously, worked without problem from the start with version 1.9)! So just to confirm my original problem (with the Surface Book) was "We’re Sorry. Something went wrong during registration or sign-in" - well sign in for me as I already had an Affinity account. I have now reverted back to the Windows store version 1.9 (uninstalling both Affinity Photo and Designer beta versions using Windows uninstaller), and my account is still working, and I have downloaded my content from the Affinity store in both apps. All my devices are listed in registered apps and devices (both Windows devices and both iPads) under my account as expected now. I noted that after installing then running the beta version nothing actually happened - it ran but the app didn't apparently load. But when I subsequently ran the still installed Windows store versions, the login to my account worked without any further issues 👌 👍
  5. Affinity provide instructions on how to manually install the content (if you have an Affinity store account already) which I have used on my Surface Book until the problem is resolved - which I am sure it will be as it already works on my desktop computer which has also been updated to version 1.9 - both installations were done from my Microsoft store account!
  6. Hi Leigh, I noticed the above thread where I posted the requested information. Please note that both my desktop computer and surface book 2 laptop are running the same versions of the software asked in the questions. The desktop connects to my Affinity account without issue, the Surface Book 2 has the problem as reported by others! Here is the info for completeness... Purchased: Windows Store Windows-Store-Version: 12011.1001.1.0 RuntimeBroker-Version: 10.0.19041.746 Windows-Build: 10.0.19042 Windows defender and Acronis backup ransomware protection
  7. I have Affinity Designer and Photo installed on a Surface Book 2 and a desktop computer, obtained from my Microsoft store account. I've updated the apps to version 1.9 of both systems, and logged into my account successfully (downloading all my additional purchases) on my desktop computer. However, I get the error when attempting the same on my Surface Book 2. Both systems have the following version information Purchased: Windows Store Windows-Store-Version: 12011.1001.1.0 RuntimeBroker-Version: 10.0.19041.746 Windows-Build: 10.0.19042 Windows defender and Acronis backup ransomware protection I have installed the apps on an iPad pro and iPad Air 2 and logged into my account with no issues, updating additional content
  8. You shouldn't need to do this if you enable family sharing. Each device can be logged in with it's own apple id and still install the apps through family sharing.
  9. I had the same issue, that since the 1.9 update installed on my iPad, my wife's iPad (which was happily installed with version 1.8 through iOS family sharing), won't update to 1.9. It was a simple problem resolved by re-enabling purchase sharing on my apple account - which I had apparently disabled at some point since installing version 1.8
  10. I have Affinity apps installed on a Surface Book 2 and a desktop computer, obtained from my Microsoft store account. I have updated the apps to version 1.9 of both systems, and logged into my account successfully (downloading all my additional purchases) on my desktop computer. However, I get the following error when attempting the same on my Surface Book 2. "We're sorry, something went wrong during registration or sign in! "Error while constructing request or parsing servers response: There was an unexpected problem while handling the server's response" Can anybody advise? Regards, Steve
  11. Well I am looking forward to the introduction of a scale drawing facility - I used it all the time way back in the days of CorelDraw 6 on Windows 95!
