  1. Sry for warming this up, The hint with the alpha was quite helpful thanks! As i have seen you can only adjust the mask in a non destructive manner, which makes the file bigger/convoluted, so i tried to merge down the adjustment layer to the mask but without success. Is there a workaround? Also if there is only one channel (greyscale) it would be super helpful if the main/master curve adjustment affects the channel by default, reopening the adjustemnt layer sets it back to master.
  2. Thanks for your reply. I definitly don't want a copy of PS. I still have many questions how to do things/best practices, and many frustrations in the beginning can be avoided just by providing a good UI., Btw. i guess there is not only me these days swiching from PS.
  3. Thanks for your help! There are many things i do not know yet
  4. Coming from PS, i think Affinity Photo is really catching up with its big competitor. A few things are missing in technical terms, but also some kind of a software inherent culture which is mostly communicated through its interface. Really important for me: - Layers: controlling visibility (why not on left side together with lock icon, same style as channels, turning on of by paint over) , - Layers: copying selections into masks - Layers: linking unlinking for transforms - Paint Performance. - UI: less glitches annoyances (Buttons missing, inconsistent icons (check for layers, eye for channels) Also important: - UI: concept often not clear, e.g.: New document: templates take 80% of space (Architectural presets?), a page orientation ?, therefore Aspect Ratio lock is missing, why use page/document terminology instead of image, adding new preset hard to find. e.g.: Preferences: icons really needed?, why not just a 2 column style like most other apps. - UI: basic colourswatches (FG/BG) always visible, can be really small. - Consolidated transform perspective tool, one tool for all transforms. - Reasonable key maps e.g.: changing brush size needs 4 buttons/keys pressed at the same time. - Right click context sensitve menu was nice. Not so important, at least for now: - New Features - Fancy Features - AI Stuff - Extras like: Templates Presets Brushes, Assets
  5. Plz. make it default, switching workstations, and for courses is not feasible to always mess with the prefs. if there are other key assignements than (d,x) i am also fine...
  6. Worked on a 7200x 200 px image and could not switch/edit channels, when you drag the menu further out they show up again. Ver: 1.8.2.620
