  1. Please ignore No.2. I've now installed updates for Photo and Designer and the .afpub files are opening in the correct programme. Thanks.
  2. Hi Patrick. Just installed the update and tested the paragraph panel issue... 2 things, 1. That option is now working properly. Thanks. 2. If I drag and drop a .afpub file on to the Publisher icon, the file opens in Publisher, however, if I double tap a .afpub file, it opens up in Affinity Photo for some reason.
  3. Much appreciated. Looking forward to that not being an issue. I use EPS files a lot.
  4. Hi Sean. That is the original file but I was working on it at the time I took that screen shot. I'll add the original file again with no edits at all. Thanks. COLOURBOX29277652.eps This file is another example of an eps file that has missing layers when you try to make individual eps files of each image. The red mushroom was missing the top light red layer and a couple of the white spots. The other mushrooms were missing 2 of the white spots. COLOURBOX8582893.eps So far my fix for this situation has been to copy and paste the missing layers into the newly created eps file. It takes a few attempts to work though.
  5. Hi Sean. I may have made a mistake on this one. After rolling over the various sizes in the drop down menu I clicked on the menu bar at the top to get out of the size drop down menu but the text stays the same size as the last size that was rolled over in that menu. I've just realised that if you click again anywhere in the black area outside of the image, that text reverts back to it's original size. I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing that before but it's doing it now so apologies for the wasted time.
  6. When spacing text using the sizes from this drop down menu, the last size that was rolled over with the cursor is automatically selected even though it wasn't pressed or clicked on.
  7. I'm trying to make individual EPS files of each of the images in this file. When I do that, the preview of the newly created EPS file looks perfect but when I open that file in Photo or Publisher it has layers missing and the colours are changed. This isn't the first file it's happened with. It seems to be hit and miss with the other files I have. The same newly created EPS file opens perfectly in Adobe Photoshop (no change of colour + nothing missing). original file.eps This is a pic of the original file. I made an individual EPS file of the house with a layer selected. That layer will disappear. This is a pic of the newly created EPS file with the missing layer and changed colours. The remaining brown layers in the roof are now dark instead of light brown. Finally, this is a pic of the same EPS file opened in Adobe Photoshop.
  8. When the export menu option is selected multiple times consecutively, its window starts to rise up and eventually disappear.

  11. Hi. Can anyone advise me on 1. why this file opens up pixelated in Affinity Photo? 2. why it opens normally in Affinity Designer but when I make individual .eps files of each of the images, those individual images open up pixelated again in Affinity Photo? Much appreciated. Thanks. ps the same happens when I try to make a .png image with the images from this file. COLOURBOX29052501.eps
  12. When in the paragraph tab, if you select the 'use space before' drop down menu, there are 3 options. Rolling over any of these options automatically selects it instead of the user having to click on it. I couldn't work out why my formatting had changed until I went back to this menu and found this bug.
  13. I've had the same problem. A solution is to export the file in Affinity Photo as a .PDF and use photopea.com to save that file as a .PSD file. The resulting file will have editable text layers in Photoshop. It would make life a lot easier if it were enabled in Affinity photo. I can't leave Adobe until that feature exists in the Affinity apps unfortunately.

  19. I tried the recommended website in the Psenda's pos (https://convertio.co/pdf-psd/) but it changed a 15kb pdf file into a 60mb psd file. Try photopea.com and use the 'save as PSD' option. It works for me when changing a pdf from affinity to a psd file with editable text layers.
  20. To 'first defence Affinity Jedi' I would also love for Affinity to allow PSD exports with editable text. Using the .PDF version from Photoshop to Affinity photo gives you nonsense grouped layers that have none of the layers names given in Photoshop also the text layer is 100% non editable! It would actually be great if Affinity could enable both the .PSD and .PDF files to allow editable text. The lack of this feature is stopping me from leaving Adobe altogether.
  21. I recently purchased Affinity Photo. PSD files made in Affinity Photo definitely work in Photoshop but the text files definitely don't. The only solution I've found is to use Affinity Photo to export a .PDF version of the file your working on then visit photopea.com and use the 'file save as .PSD' option on the PDF file from Affinity Photo. The resulting file will open in Photoshop with all layers editable. Really annoying and has stopped me from being able to completely leave Photoshop. Hope this helps though.
