  1. Hello, When I double click on an affinity document (photo, designer, it opens with publisher v2 application, wven though it is a .afphot or .afdesigner document. Is this intended? Or how do I get it to open with correct application? Thank you
  2. Hi all, I see there are a 2 ways to output an enlarged image, for printing art/posters for example. Document > resize document > (set size and method such as bilinear, bicubic etc) or File > Export > (set size and method such as bilinear, bicubic etc) Are these the same thing? Also, there is a 3rd way, to: Document > resize pixel art document (select 2x, 3x, and method etc) Is this supposed to be better quality than the other 2 ways mentioned before? Or what is the setting for best quality enlarging? Thank you!
  3. Hi all, My printer company says for printing PDFs: Make sure all fonts are embedded. Vector images should be rasterized. I do have vector images in the document. In the export options, if I choose Rasterize > unsupported properties, does this mean that vectors are going to be rasterized, and fonts stay embedded? Thanks for any info.
  4. Thank you so much all, The secret to this as mentioned above in your replies is to create a master with 2 pages - didnt realise I could do that! I set the content and page numbers to this master, then added x number of pages with this as the master. Thank you
  5. Hello, if I do this, then all pages will have master A, but i need alternating master A and B...
  6. Hi all, I want to create 100 pages that contain the same page content. I also want page numbers on them. So I have master A with page number on bottom R, master B with page number on bottom L. I also have master C with the content that will appear on all the pages. I can duplicate the first page, then while holding Alt key drag master C onto the page thumbnail (to add the master instead of replace the existing master)... But, to do this for 100 pages, is there a faster way to do this?? Also, I notice that if I am on no facing page setting, that duplicate a page with say master A, that this next page also has master A, which means the page number will be on the wrong side of the page. I can go to facing page setting, and then duplicate 2 pages to ensure that A and B alternate. But still, is there a way to duplicate the 2 pages 50 times in 1 click? Thank you!
  7. Hello If this is already a feature, let me know.... Otherwise, a feature request would be an option for PDFs created from Affinity Publisher, to prevent editing and copying of the contents of the PDF. This could be by password required to edit/copy the contents. Let me know! Thank you!
  8. Thanks for all the above... I am now wondering about password protecting the PDF in order to disallow "page extraction" or "content copying". I wonder if these will disable programs like muPDF from extracting the font?
  9. Hi all, Is there an update on this? When I convert text to curves, all the fonts are thicker than they are when embedded. Thanks
  10. Hi all If you embed fonts on a PDF export from Affinity Publisher, can the user extract the font to use as a font on their computer? Also, if they dont have the font on their computer I assume the PDF will correctly show the font? I am asking because I am wondering why people choose text as curves vs embed fonts as an export and am wondering what the difference is? Thank you!
  11. Hi all, My printer requires text to be converted to curves. Is there any difference between: Selecting text layer, then in menu: Layer: Text to curves versus... During export to PDF, selecting More... Embed Fonts: Text as curves Thanks for any input!
  12. I have a screenshot here, I am using Arial (I have also tried with other fonts)...
  13. Hi all, With Affinity Publisher, when I edit a text style, and choose Capitals: Titling, it does not cause the 1st letter of every word to be capital... Am I doing something wrong, or should I put this as a bug report? Thanks
