  1. I can't use affinity designer due to the lack of hindi language font. Most devanagari Google fonts like Karma, Kalam etc are not supported. Due to this, I can't switch to affinity designer. Other drawback I found out is lack of trace from image. These 2 features are atleast expected in new age professional designer software. Please focus on these 2 important features.
  2. I also need my work in indic language mostly in hindi language. Without hindi language, I can't migrate to any oher different designing tool. Currently using adobe illustrator with indic language support. Requesting the affinity designer team to add support of hindi and other indian language support ASAP.
  3. Coreldraw is also popular in India...It would be great if affinity designer have support for CDR files to every possible miles. I know that CDR is closed format and has limited external file support.
  4. Auto trace is a feature that is generally expected from a graphic designer tool dealing with vectors. Both industry leading software in India - Adobe Illustrator and COREL DRAW have quite extensive support of auto trace with different types of good presets. This feature alone makes the affinity designer not appealing to graphic designer.
  5. I was lucky to check the affinity designer forum before making a purchase for it.. The need for inbuilt auto image vectorize is really important and I guess it must be obvious for a designer tool to have support for this.. Anyone can use inkscape for tracing but it is a overhead to use other tool, then export and import of vectorized form. It's a huge drawback for affinity designer to appeal in graphic designing industry. The graphic designer industry uses two major tools in India - ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR and COREL DRAW, and both of them supports quite extensive tracing features. Even Corel draw makes it product highlights as introducing power trace, upon improving the tracing ability. And illustrator has inbuilt support of different presets of strong tracing options.
  6. It's really sad that auto trace feature is missing from a soon to professional tool..It's a must from the perspective of designing tool. Even illustrator has support of different trace types. Also corel draw has has a good support of Power trace and they are showcasing this feature for their products. No auto trace is a setback to me as a designer.
  7. Yes it's highly required. I am a wedding invitation designer in India, There's good demand of laser cut paper invitations here and most laser cutter support either CDR (Corel draw) or DXF format. It would be great if affinity has support for exporting in both formats.
