  1. ...\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\CrashReports\reports (and \attachments and \Backtrace) folder is empty.
  2. I just setup a brand new PC (Windows 10, 12 GB RAM, etc.) and I only have Publisher and Designer installed. Publisher still crashes if I slowly scroll through my document. My old laptop had 8 GB RAM.
  3. I can manually go through my document and click 'replace' on each image to replace it with an updated version which will take (at most) a couple of seconds. However, when I update a single image using Document Resource Manager, it can take more than a minute per 'Update' click. Shouldn't it be faster to 'update' than to delete and reinsert/replace an existing image?
  4. When working on a document (150+ pages, with 300+ images), sometimes when I double click the pan/hand to zoom to full page all of my images disappear and then this happens on my cover page. See attachment. Each block on the image below is a part/section of another graphic in the document. The images in the document are fine. When I save and re-open then everything is correct.
  5. Does Adobe Photoshop brushes work in Designer? If not, then I'd love to get the Lumbia set converted to Designer.
  6. Steps to repeat: Export to PDF Select "All Pages" Enter "2-3" (thats the only spread, I deleted all others to reduce file size) Then look at the gutter of the 2 page PDF to see the problem. I included the exported PDF, so you can look there to see the problem before jumping into testing it.
  7. Same problem as before. I'll send to DropBox. Thanks
  8. I'm having a strange export issue. The polygon and its border look perfect in Designer, but when I export to PNG, the corner gets messed up. I've tried changing the corner's angle, but since I can't duplicate the effect in Designer, I never know if I fixed it or not and need to re-export and look at the PNG to see if anything changed. Left: Designer, Right: Exported PNG
  9. Thanks. I've been able to save more than fifty times in a row without a single long save. When I initially created the thread, my saves where either 30 seconds or longer (longest save so far has been 75 minutes, they increased each long save from 10 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, and longer), but it was sporadic - I think that inconsistency was due to sometimes I was at full page zoom and other time I was zoomed in. I haven't had a single long save since I started zooming into 150%.
  10. Update: Tried turning off Anti-Virus, Intel Rapid Storage is off, chkdsk /r ran for 5 hours, etc. Nothing helped. However, this is going to sound strange... After having 3-4 long saves today after in a row, I'm now zoomed in to 150% looking at text. When I save, then it takes about 30 seconds. I've been able to successfully save about 10 times in a row now. (It's crashed twice, but that was image rendering/loading issue.)
  11. Following. I'm having same issue with 200+ linked images and 125(ish) Letter pages. My app also crashes if I click > for next page spread as well as when scrolling, so I try to never look at the Pages window.
  12. Can there be an option to just display the low-res images and not load the full resolution ones? Sometimes, I just want to quickly go through and look at text and I don't need the full resolution images.
  13. Sorry, I just had another crash when I wasn't even doing anything. I was just waiting for the page to fully render. One image was still low-res while another image finished rendering.
  14. Possibly related to the other bug, but when the images on a page takes forever to load (it still looks low-res blocky) and then I click ">" then the app crashes. This happens almost every single time, so with a document with lots of images, it takes forever to go through each page looking at things.
  15. It's checked, but every text frame is blue. And I can't see any red dots.
  16. I also need help with this. I have that setting turned on, but to see the red round markers, you need to use the text tool and click into every single text frame. Is there a way that I can highlight the text frame such as with a red border or even a "locate" like with missing resources? I can't find which text frame has overflowing text and I've spent hours just clicking in every single text frame.
  17. On a 25+ minute save right now, the Resource Manager shows the Frequency anywhere between mid 30s and 114% with 6-20% CPU usage, 85% Memory, and Disk 0 (C) shows 100% usage. Average CPU usage by Publisher.exe is 0.60-0.75% with 21-22 threads.
  18. The saves are after making edits. It's when I'm editing, updating, adding pages, moving stuff, etc. - normal "work." I'll keep trying tonight and see if there's any problems. I don't have any issues with any other program (Adobe suite, Office suite, etc.) or Affinity Designer, just Publisher. Also, never happened in Publisher 1.7.1 and doesn't happen on other documents of same size (> 20mb) but different content.
  19. Thanks. I'm not 'spamming' the next button. It might just be a combo of a slow harddrive/laptop not being able to catch up as fast as I click the next button (more like click it and wait a few seconds then click it again).
  20. I need to buy a new laptop anyways, but I've been avoiding it for the last 2 years because I don't want to re-install all of my software again... I did a few saves this morning, the longest save was around 1 minute and the Max Freq was around 113%. The 30 minute saves were usually every 2nd or 3rd save, so I feel like I should have had at least one save issue out of the last few saves. I did change 1 thing about the file today than yesterday. When I was zipping the files to send to DropBox, WinZip said one file had a problem and couldn't be included because of a special character which I couldn't see in the filename. After I copied/pasted the filename into notepad, I saw a [] box, removed it, copy/pasted renamed the image, then replaced it this morning. Not sure that would impact the save times. The hidden character was a ` or ' symbol.
  21. The CPU/memory/disk etc. are all less than 1%. It's really strange, but Publisher CPU usage then is like 0.6%. It's like it's not even doing anything. It's lower then during when I'm actually using the app. It's also really strange that the CPU/Memory/Disk %s are really low (I have no other apps other than maybe Windows Explorer and Chrome open), but even though everything is low my laptop is really slow to open new browser tabs, type, render pages, just delayed functions and slow, but Task Manager doesn't show anything happening (anything abnormal).
  22. I think this relates to the images as well. I feel like the Pages window is hanging on drawing the next page since it lags way behind and takes really long, then when I click Next the Pages panel hasn't had time to catch up and so it just crashes. I sent the file via Dropbox.
  23. I think the files would be too big to upload as an attachment. I can send it to the FTP site.
  24. This randomly occurs, usually after I haven't saved in a few minutes so I lose my work. When I click on the ">" next page spread, publisher hangs and never loads the next page spreads and then the app just disappears.
