That's exactly how ZOOMING works for me (above) @garrettm30 you're on the money! Why do you think this is different?
-
Yeah I had a good play with the shortcuts last night and I can only zoom out with 'CMD - SHIFT - +' whilst typing in a text frame. Surely across the whole program not depending on what tool you're using the shortcuts remain universally the same ( CMD - + & CMD - —)....?
-
Not sure if this is an issue or a limitation of Publisher. When I use the text tool I cannot zoom in or out. For example — If I am typing in a text box and I want to make a font bigger or smaller I cannot just zoom out, the zoom only works once I click the pointer tool, click off the text box and then zoom out. It's a very simple process but the idea that I have to change the tool, click off the text box, zoom out... and then re-select the text tool and then re-select the text box is a pain in the backside. Surely there is something I'm doing wrong...?? or is that just a limitation of the program and it's un-able to do that? Any help would be much appreciated.

Scaling/transforming doesn't work on group containing text.

hahaha @mac_heibu the program is on another computer at home. Thought I would ask the question anyway! -

Thanks @mac_heibu & @thomaso. So If I have a grouped item with text and other items does that little transform button appear??? (like the one you referenced @thomaso) -
Hey guys, I was recently designing a brochure in Publisher and I was simply trying to scale a group but for whatever reason it was not working how I thought it should work. Example - I had 2 placed images, a vector curve and some copy and headline text in a group. I wanted to scale the group proportionally and make it bigger, but when I did so the images and the vector curve scaled correctly and the headline text and copy pretty much stayed the same size. No matter which way I tried to do this it didn't work...I just ended up doing this manually (scaling the text manually and separately even though the headline and text was in a group) not sure what I'm doing wrong but I hope it's a simple fix..... This seems like a basic thing to be able to do (works in Indesign haha) Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if Affintiy Designer can do this but there are 2 really simple features in Illustrator that I'm hoping I can do in Affinity Designer. 1. Rectangle tool - In illustrator you can just select the rectangle tool and click anywhere on an art board and it will give you a window prompt to create the rectangle or circle you need. Is this possible in Affinity Designer?? (see attached) 2. Move Feature - In Illustrator there is the move option (MAC -Shift +command+M) which gives you control on moving an object on your art board. Is this feature available in some capacity in Affinity Designer? (see attachment) Thanks in advance

Hey guys, Loving the Publisher Platform. I've been using the program all week and along the way I've come across a few buggy issues. I didn't take any screen shots but Ive tried to describe them the best I can. See below: 1. When using tables, for whatever reason if I delete a row/column it makes whatever the last remaining row/column cell on the table really large to the point it goes off the screen. I have to delete the table and restart it. 2. The guides manager menu item, sometimes doesn't show up. On some instances it takes me 3 or 4 attempts to get the Guide Manager window to even prompt. 3. There was a major issue when I was typing into a text frame, I would type a normal paragraph and if I hit the keyboard 'Delete' button it would delete a character, but as soon as I started typing again, after that delete it would only show random square glyphs instead of spaces or letter as I typed. Even when I used the keyboard arrows keys (left & right arrow keys) to try and move across, it would type glyphs as if I was typing letters or number. I couldn't get it to stop, so I had to delete the text frame and restart the program. 4. The final bug I noticed was the text style buttons didn't work, I tried to 'Superscript' an ordinal (make the TH or ND on a date smaller....4th, 2nd) it only worked once for me. Initially I thought it might be a font issue but it happened on all the fonts I tried it on.
