  1. I'm having this issue even when I convert the typeface to Curves. X3 formats export, but nothing seems to export into x4.
  2. When on iPad I follow the instructions posted above after having made a *selection*, it horizontally flips the entire layer. I grant it isn’t an “object,” but a selection within the layer made with the lasso tool. I realize I can duplicate the layer, invert the selection, then delete the rest of the layer before flipping the part I want to keep and flip. But is there a shortcut? Can I JUST flip the selection while leaving the unselected area unflipped?
  3. Joachim, Thank you for your response. That appears to have worked - which is excellent. But WHY did that work? Why would Publisher default to a setting that breaks text on export? Strange.
  4. When I export from Publisher (Windows) to PDF with fonts set to "embedded," I get utterly mangled body text--total gibberish. I have only one copy of the font installed. Interestingly, where the text is in bold weight or italic, this does not occur. I'm using a font called "Crimson," and the default thickness/style is referred to as "Roman" rather than, say, Regular, and I wonder if this has something to do with it. But I don't understand why this would be. Of course it publishes to PDF fine when I change the text setting to curves, but still this isn't exactly ideal. This is for a magazine that will be going to print.
  5. Nice! What format did you export into to make it work with Kindle?
  6. I've been using Photo to teach myself digital painting. Only problem is, with this latest release (1.7) the program is randomly crashing and when I re-open it there's no autosave file offered to load. In previous editions this wasn't an issue for me, so I'm hoping it'll get ironed out as a bug in short order. When digital painting there seem to be fewer "stop-points" in the process than when processing a photo, so I'm less likely to remember to manually save (even though I know that's certainly the best way to do things, no matter what you're doing). I've lost some good work that way. But I'm forging ahead, rather than jumping ship, because I trust the good folks at Serif to get this problem licked before too long--and perhaps I just needed a reminder to insert a habit of manual saving into my painting workflow.
  7. I've been using Photo for digital painting on my PC lately (Win 10), and twice in as many weeks (and only since the latest update to 1.7) the program has crashed completely - just straight up dropped away (not frozen up), and when I open it again it offers no backup or history file - the only apparent option is to reopen the recent file, which of course has nothing I've done since last manual save. When digital painting (at least for me) there are few pauses in process - as there are in photo processing - which are natural places to manually save, so time slips away and when it crashes I've lost a considerable amount of progress. Which is frustrating. Particularly since these problems weren't encountered in previous versions of the software. Just making the team aware.
