Hey there @Serif, This maybe a minor/major ask. Could we have more colour choices in the layer options. I know this might sound trivial but almost always I have more than 7 layers and to have more colours, maybe select from a colour wheel would be very cool.

I’m crossing toes and fingers, but the beta version seems to have fixed this.

Hey there @serif you know how there is a rectangle marquee for selecting nodes or complete objects with the later this is great however as with vector drawings there can be mostly curves in a project. When there are multiple curves (this can happen when, “converting to curves”, then “expand curves” see image below) and you want to select some and others you don’t, especially to retain the shape as much as possible, the marquee select is frustrating and time consuming to use. I believe to have a pencil based selection tool or something with more control would be an absolute blessing. Q: why is it I end up with sooooo many nodes on the excavator image below all was created with AD iOS App? And this is also what I mean with selecting individual modes to delete. It’s very time consuming to do so.

Hey there, I’m using an iPad Pro 4th gen - iPadOS 15.0.2 Sorry ‘untitled’. And please I don’t mean to complain but I use this app everyday, even weekends, lol. As in recording below, why doesn’t the file name remain in different formats, is there a reason for this because with large file names I copy the name to paste between different formats. From a user perspective, why doesn’t it just stay there? IMG_0677.MP4

I’m working on a piece right now and I’ve broken the nodes in order to rejoin to another node. When I select join the app crashes, it doesn’t mater which nodes I ‘break’ then ‘join’ it crashes. I really don’t know how to get past this point in my project so I’ve had to stall the project. This is a BIG ISSUE for me as this is for a customer and like I said, ‘I have to stall’ for a bit in the HOPE the guys and girls @serif are reading this. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ADRESS THESE ISSUES BEING POSTED SERIF, Most of us use your app for work. FullSizeRender.mov

I know it’s not just me but there are more bugs with Affinity Products since the IPadOS 15 update. I use AD & AP for a minimum of 4hrs a day and of late these apps are EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING to use. I know it’s not your (serifs) fault but this is ridiculous. 😡😡😡 I really don’t want to have to go back to Adobe Illustrator as I know Serif can do better. Cheers by frustrated user!!!

Hey there at @serif could there possibly be an easier way to name layers, (‘yes, I like to have my layers named when it’s a specific item), something as simple as selecting the text on the layer itself or ‘batch naming’ layers eg: select the layers you want to name, select batch naming, then all the layers you want to name are there to be named in a ‘layers naming’ window. As you know at the moment it takes 4 steps to rename a single layer as you have to select the ‘layer’ - select the ‘circle with 3 dots’ - select the ‘layer name’ and the select the ‘text field’. This can be time consuming when you have multiple layers to rename. thank you and keep up the great work!

Hey there, sorry DM1 but this was happening before iosipad 15. I’ve just updated to 15.0.1 and still no fix. This has been, like I said, going on at least through iosipad 14 with Designer & Photo.

Could be just me here but I’m wondering why my file name defaults back to empty space when I re-change document type in the ‘export’ dashboard. Mmmmmmmmmm especially when I realise I’ve forgot to select the ‘type’ of document first after a rather lengthy name. Now I copy and past text, why not leave the ‘save name’ the same people 🥵 ps thanks for a bloody amasing product 😉

Hey there spacebar, thanx for the reply. 1. I’ll get the video shortly 2. I’m using the ‘node tool’ as my double tap. 3. I find the ‘save’ option is there above ‘save as’ under the ‘document’ menu whilst in an open doc, however this only when you ‘save’ a document from the main documents folder by clicking the 3 lines - close - rename - duplicate & close. Sorry by placing it in the ‘bugs’ section. ps, I’ll get a video of the touch gesture issue. ‘cheers & stay safe……..I love this product, it’s a God send, it really is! Keep up the great work.

Hey there @serif, i love Affinity Designer and have been using it for years now as I moved from illustrator desktop to AD on iPad. I have 3 things to wine about as these buggy issues have been happening on not only my 4th Gen iPad Pro but also on my previous versions and also with Apple Pencil 1 & 2, so here goes. #1 is there any chance we could PLEASE, PLEASE in God’s green planet have a fix for ‘one finger’ touch (blue circle). For example when I want to select multiple nodes or curves or just use this option most of the time it doesn’t work. I have to quit the app and load again for it to work and after a while it stops again. This is a major pain in the rear and slows down my work flow. #2 I have also found Apple Pencil ‘double tap’ is buggy and doesn’t go to the desired tool. This is also an issue. #3 Could we please have a ‘save’ option under the ‘document’ tab within the ‘workspace’ just under the ‘save as’ option. The only place that I’ve found to ‘save’ is when you move out of the canvas area and then select the ‘3 bars’ down the bottom to save. I save my work often and as with #1 when I quit app and go back into my canvas it is missing the last few minutes of work. I don’t understand your reason for this. AFFINITY DESIGNER is a bloody top app, I use it for my work nearly every day for hours. These issues I have stated aren’t new. PLEASE, PLEASE, I beg you to hear me out on this and do something about it. Cheers and keep up the great work team @ serif.

iPad 4th gen, apple pencil2 & iPadOS 14.4.1.When I draw with the pen tool I end up having to delete a whole lot of anchor points as there is overkill of the little buggers. Q: is there a way to control amount of anchor points the pen to puts down.

Hi there just wondering if anyone is experiencing constantly while using eraser tool to delete background. This seems to happen when i am zoomed in, working right up to the pixels. The only way I can resolve this is by exiting the app and starting again. Selecting another tool or layer does not rectify issue. Very frustrating indeed . Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
