  1. I have just created a 64 page programme for our folk festival and needed to print individual pages for proofing and always had to change from "document" to "current" which was very time consuming every single time and then when printing off individual signs for the festival I forgot and printed off about 20 wasted pages before I managed to halt the printing process wasting a lot of paper and yellow ink as I normally turn of the yellow layer and print directly onto yellow paper. What would be great would be to have the option to make "current" page the default and only choose the whole document when needed in other words reversing the default. Cheers Keith
  2. I completely agree with all of above and I am surprised that nobody has answered in over three years. The amount of times I want to print a single page to check layout or show someone for spelleing etc and every single time I have to look for the "current page" option and rarely print the whole book.
  3. Glad I am not the only one and so good you have been there to help us. I was using OBS for my video and is great. Just need to get the hang of it properly and maybe set the pointer to extra large for the purpose of demonstration. So much to learn, so little time
  4. Gary, you are a gentleman and a scholar!!!! I was looking everywhere for something that related to photos but that description had me beat. Finding it can be challenging as sometimes it is on the left hand side of the tool bar and other times the right. Anyway, it is now working and if I got a picture that is missing the slider options then I just need to convert it to picture frame. Thanks for all your patience and help. I will now learn to get the best out of screen record like the option to show the mouse pointer because that is a real winner. Have a good weekend. Keith
  5. Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate what should and does happen when I first add a picture in various ways. I have been using Publisher since the very first beta and never experienced this before but basically all the adjustments work fine until I leave the frame and then find that all the images that have been created previously have lost the sliders when I select them. I have made my first ever screen video (sorry no audio) but you will see that in the first option place image tool none had sliders when selected. In the additional two that I created in a picture a frame there were sliders and context menu options first until I select another image then sliders and context menu are lost. I went back to other images in the publication and none had sliders. I tried creating a brand new blank document and exactly the same. I might have to try a new install unless you might be able to point me to an option I have turned off by mistke but I have looked everywhere nd nothing. Thanks again for your help. photo-sliders1.mp4
  6. Sorry if this has been brought up before but nothing in the forum search. Affinity Publisher 2 latest version - No matter how I create a set of images either with individual picture frames or with the place image tool, after using the drag and zoom slider then move to another image when I move back all the slider and zoom options disappear as they do with all the images. If I remove the image then add it again the sliders come back until I move to another image and then they are gone again. I opened a similar job from last year in Publisher old version and all the sliders are present and work fine so not sure where to go next. If I could go back to the old software to work on this extensive job I would but I can't as the files is now incompatible. I notice that the frame options such as fill frame etc in the context menu also disappear after moving to another image. Thanks in advance Keith
  7. I agree that to "save as" or "export" with your own suffix added on the file name to the same folder is fundemental to quick and dirty editing by-passing having to save it as an affinity file as it is rare that I would need to return to it later. I did find a work around where when you are about to export the edit you scroll down the file menu to "open folder in explorer" and copy the path name in the path window then when exporting paste pathname in the path window at the top. There should so be a button to export back to the original folder in the export dialogue as this is about the only program I have found where you cant just "save as" to the original file location. Better still there should be an option to save as jpg if you dont need the afphoto file in the save as dialogue as an alternative to convert so you got the best of both.
