anon1 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 (edited) First: it´s not a bug. Just a question. Is there a way I can use a basic brush along with the auto thickness of the pressure sensitivity of a wacom tablet? It works fine with the DAUB Sets but how can I get the same functionality with a normal brush? E.g. when painting on a mask I probably don´t want to use an aquarell brush. Oh, and a bug - at least I consider it to be one. I matched one button on the side of the tablet to the "alt" key. But when I try to hold alt and click on a layer icon to get a separated view of the layer it does not work. It was just my fault, tiny bit of dragging while clicking... It does work pressing alt on the keyboard. And I also choose ctrl+alt for one button and they work fine for resizing the brush. BUT again - the touch wheel does only produce acoustic bubububukubububub error messages and does not change the brush, nor does it work in the mode for clicking through layers. I would be really happy if someone could help me out :) Edited June 27, 2015 by MBd Quote
Staff MattP Posted June 27, 2015 Staff Posted June 27, 2015 Are you using the beta version? If not, give it a try - there's a button on the context toolbar of the brush tools that let you force pressure to control size on any brush, just press that :) I think the tablet buttons should be working? I though tI used it often but will need to try it back at work on Monday... also the noise should be solved in the beta, I think? If you're already using the beta then... ah, it sounds like there's a problem! ;) Thanks, Matt Quote
anon1 Posted June 27, 2015 Author Posted June 27, 2015 Oh well I forgot to say that I was using the recent AP Build. I also thought/read that everything should be working fine. Thank you for the hint with the force pressure controlled size!! Quote
anon1 Posted June 27, 2015 Author Posted June 27, 2015 Also when I drag a (photo) layer online can anyone please tell the Apple engineers that this is by far the worst way auto correct could be implemented?!! REALLY! top of the new layer icon it does not seem to function properly. I drag it, release the pen and nothing happens. Oh I just saw this does not work with my trackpad ether so then it might be a missing function. > dragging a layer on top of the new layer icon duplicates the layer :) Quote
anon1 Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 At 0:20 you can hear the bubububub when I´m trying to resize my brush with the touch wheel. And my iMac get´s slowed down quite rapidly while painting. The background noise during painting is produced by the fans of the iMac. Quote
