Romuald
Hi all I'm used to convert systematically 8 bit photos to 16 bit before tweaking. In previous versions I have assigned a keyboard shortcut to this fonction. Now the Convert fonction have been modified and is only accessible via the menu « convert profile ICC ». ; this is annoying and worse, if you assign a keyboard shortcut to this menu item, AP crashes. If you use mouse it don't. romu
Staff MEB Posted August 20, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 20, 2019 Hi Romuald, Welcome to Affinity Forums Yes, the app menus were streamlined/reworked a bit for this version, sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you. I will pass this feedback to the dev team. I'm not able to replicate the crash here. I've assigned a single letter (N) to that shortcut (Convertir le format/profil ICC...) and it's working fine even with the program language set to French. Have you updated the program from the previous 1.6 version? If you export your current keyboard shortcuts to an .affshortcuts file (from the Keyboard Shortcuts section, in Preferences), reset the applications shortcuts (close the app, press and hold ctrl while launching it until a Clear User Data dialog appears, keep the first three checkboxes ticked plus the Reset Keyboard Shortcuts box and press Clear), then re-import/load the .affshortcuts file again and assign the shortcut to Convertir le format/profil ICC... as you were initially trying to do, does Affinity Photo still crash when you use the shortcut? Romuald
Hi Meb, thanks for your help. I made what you said without success. Let me resume with more details the following test. - Start AP1.7.2fr without personal shortcut. - assign N to Document>Convert Format/ICCprofile - quit AP - Lauch AP and open a jpeg file. - Type N which open the Convert box - open the list « colour format » (btw, this menu is in english in my fr version) and select RGB/16 (on the other list I let the Adobe RGB (1998) profile selected) - clic on Convert > crash You may notice that in the previous version 1.6, there was an item « colour format » directly accessible from the Document menu. Now this Colour-format list is integrated inside the ICC-profile box and this is far more slow to access (not to speak about the crash problem). I attach the Apple-crash-report rtf file if it could help. Romuald AppleBugReportAP172fr.rtf
