This has happened to me twice now.

Right in the middle of using the healing brush and patch tool, I must have done something that kind of locked/disable a portion of the image I was editing. I'm not sure what, but that part of the photo does not respond to any of the changes I try to make, remove blemish etc. Every other part of the image responds fine.

I don't have my undo history anymore so I can't really go back. I was going to continue with my editing, and then I applied Freq Separation, and that part of the image was excluded from its application. Picture attached. What did I do and how do I fix this?

@affinityada You might have made a selection and managed to hide the marquee. Try using Ctrl/Cmnd-D to remove any selection.
