bridgetdaryl Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 My Mac updated the OS last night and now I can't open anything in Designer! Help! It just stops responding when trying to open a file or create a new one. Quote
Dan C Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Hi bridgetdaryl, Welcome to the forums Very sorry to hear you're having trouble, could you please confirm for me: What version of Mac have you upgraded from & to please? What version of Designer are you running please? (You can check under Affinity Designer>About) Has anything else changed, other than the Mac update? (ie new applications or hardware installed?) If you open Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility, then select your HDD and choose the 'Verify Disk' option - do the results come back OK? Resetting your app back to its default settings may help - You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. https://player.vimeo.com/video/189596577/ Quote
