How to import styles into affinity photo

Recommended Posts

I purchased and downloaded affinity photo yesterday, yes I am a complete novice. I successfully imported brushes this morning but this afternoon I attempted to import Olivio Sarikas 5 Free New portrait styles without success. From the information I was able to obtain on the web I followed instructions to the letter but nothing worked. Could you guys give me a step-by-step process that will work, please? Sorry, I should have said I'm operating on Windows 10. Thanks in advance.

Hi Qart,

Welcome to the forums :)

I've downloaded a copy of these 'Styles' - I believe there's some confusion here due to the naming scheme chosen by Olivio, as these files aren't .afstyles files, instead they are .afphoto files wich can be used as a template. This means you simply need to open the files in Affinity (as you would with any other .afphoto file) to use the style template. The following is taken from the 'readme.txt' provided with the download:

1) Make SURE you create a BACKUP before you use these Files
2) Import your image of choice
3) Drag it to the lowest layer
4) delete the placeholder image that is already in the File
5) export your file

I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
