ShinyDessi
I made a selection on my photo. I tried to move said selection but for some reason it’s moving the entire photo. See attached video for an example. IMG_0061.MP4
DM1
Make sure you have the layer highlighted in Layer Atudio and that the layer is labeled as pixel, not image. If image use the layer menu to Rasterize the layer. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). But this raises a question I’ve been very curious about for a long time: What's the internal difference between...? a Pixel layer an Image layer an Embedded document layer And why are these elements handled differently by Affinity Photo? This allows its native resolution to be maintained while working with it. an Embedded document can be an Affinity, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, SVG, EPS, or PDF file added to your composition. These can be edited without leaving your Affinity software. These also maintain their native resolution with working with them. In Photo only pixel selections can be made, meaning only Pixel layers (or rasterized layers which are converted as Pixel layers) will benefit from use of the Selection tools. Please someone correct any of this if I’m off somewhere.
DM1
A little more info on 'image' layer and their purpose/advantage. Embedded Documents, double click to open the 'embedded document, edit, save and back arrow to return to main doc (which now contains the updated embedded document.
