Colly Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 How can I access Google photos on affinity photo app on ipad? Quote
Dan C Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Hi Colly Unfortunately Google Photos can't be added as a 'Location' through the iOS Files app, so it can't be directly accessed within Affinity, my apologies. If you wish, you can sync the contents of your Google Photos with your Google Drive - which can be accessed through Files & Affinity Photo. For info on how to do this please see here - https://support.google.com/drive/answer/6156103?co=GENIE.Platform=iOS&hl=en&visit_id=636981813812428767-3903826215&rd=1 Quote
littlefooch Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Is there in plan the ability to access files directly from Google Drive? (Google Drive is present in the beta locations 1.7.2.147 but raw badges do not appear) Quote
Dan C Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Hi littlefooch Have Apple added Google Drive as an accessible 'location' in the new iOS beta? Unfortunately support is based on Apple/Googles implementation with Files. If it has been added as a location I'm sure we'll be testing this within Affinity during the coming months and smoothing out bugs as required! Quote

Why? I can access Google Photos directly in Photoshop Express app. Celia at Grafted Works 1 Quote

I can't comment on Photoshop Express as I'm not certain what system is in place here, as it sounds like it's using an extension of the Files app, or Adobes own proprietary solution. Currently Affinity uses the Files integration with iPad, meaning we're limited to the features that Apple and third party developers (such as Google) allow for, my apologies! Quote
