I used to be able to resize text to any size without altering the pt's (similar to the iPad. version where you simply alter the size of the blue bounding box)
Since the update it won't allow this. There is another way ? Also the blue bounding box (surrounding the text) is alot larger that then actual text. Any idea why  ?

I alter the text sizes, making the word fit in a location of any size or location.

Screenshot 1 The blue lines do not directly encase the text

Screenshot 2 The blue line can be moved to make larger and the text doesn't change in size

Screenshot 3 If I decrease the box eventually the text alters.

I have created the original word art design in "Wordart" and opened it in Affinity.

I have been doing this for over 3 years and it was always a simple process but It has changed since the upgrade.

I would love some help if anyone could advise how to make the changes. Thanks Kat

Look at the lower right corner of the Text Frame's bounding box. You should see two nodes there, one attached to the lines and one diagonally lower that is not attached. Dragging that one should scale both the box and its contents.

This has not changed since the update.

Thanks so much Walt. That did work to increase the width but I used to be able to adjust the height of the word and that wont work. Any idea how it would work ? I definitely use to be able to do that previously. I really appreciate your help.

Dragging the scaling handle will adjust both the width of the letters and their height. And as far as I can see it works as it has always worked.

Is it possible you're thinking of Artistic Text, rather than Frame Text? You can drag any of the bounding box handles for Artistic Text and directly adjust the size of the letters any way you want.

Thanks again Walt, unfortunately it still wont alter lengthways. I have tried both text options. If I create a whole new word using the artistic text it will allow me. I don't understand why but at least I can make the changes.
