JerryC
Hello, I recently started using Affinity, and I installed to the D drive as my C drive is small and nearly full. I tried some image stacking, and started getting low / out of drive messages. When I start digging I found that affinity is using C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0\autosave for storage and currently using 3G which is all the free space my C drive had. I've tried digging through the registry but so far haven't found settings for that. I also looked through Affinity preferences but don't see anywhere I can fix that. I can't save my work to another drive because it appears to want to write it to the C drive first, giving me a drive full message (though the message sounds like it's the X drive or D drive depending on which I tell it to write to). The C drive is the only drive that is full currently. How do I change Affinity to use another drive for temporary work? I realize I'm going to lose my current work, because any changes made will require restarting Affinity to take effect, so main concern now is to fix it for future use. Thanks, Jerry
JerryC
Follow on to yesterday's posting. When I discarded my works in progress and closed Affinity Photo, I got back 5G of storage on the C drive. I don't know off hand where the other two Gigabytes were, but do know that I can't use the product if I can't get it to quit using the C drive. My laptop's C drive is only 118G total. As far as I'm concerned, nothing other than operating system needs should be put on the C drive. Unfortunately some products can't be installed anywhere else. I hope to get an answer to this soon as it's got me totally stymied at the moment.
