I'm experiencing a problem when I attempt to add an outline to a cropped photo in Affinity photo. The same problem doesn't happen when I add an outline to the photo before cropping.

I click on the layer, then fx, then outline, alignment inside, but when I adjust the radius, nothing appears until about 75px, and then it only comes from the top of the document.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this some kind of bug? Thanks for your help!

Cropping is non destructive, you'll need to rasterise (Layer > Rasterise)  the image first

Affinity Photo  2.3.1

If you don't mind, could you attach the .afphoto file ?

Hi, yes, it's a thumbnail for an image for my website. I've tried it cropped larger too, thinking I could resize after adding the outline but I have the same result. Is there a reason you couldn't add an outline to a small image?

In this case you must first flatten the image  =  Document > Flatten
