Dimitrios V Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 (edited) Hello, I am a new user of Affinity Photo. When I open raw images (.DNG) the image shows distorted. When I create HDR Images from multiple raw images the result is also distorted. The Lens correction is selected, but it does not have any effect. The distortion is significant. When I open the raw image with another application, the image is shown without distortion. A very simple free utility HDRtist can merge an HDR image and the result is shown with no distortion. So something is not right with Affinity Photo. The only way I can correct the image is to use the distortion slider, but I have to crop the image afterwards. I have attached an example raw image. Dimitrios V Posted June 10, 2019 Author Posted June 10, 2019 Hello, I opened the same image in Affinity Photo for iPad and it shows properly, no distortion! The issue is with Affinity Photo for Mac. Quote
Staff MEB Posted June 10, 2019 Staff Posted June 10, 2019 Hi Dimitrios V, Welcome to Affinity Forums Thanks for the report and file. I've logged this to be looked at. Meanwhile if you open the DNG (Develop Persona), go to menu View > Assistant Manager and set the RAW Engine dropdown to Apple (Core Image RAW) Affinity will load the image without distortion.
