ROBERT ALVAREZ Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Have a document about 10 pages long. each page has a text frame on it and are all linked. Put one image with a text framed under image grouped together on page one, that worked. On second page tried to do the same and having problems with the text frame on the grouped image with text frame. The text in the frame with image/text grouped does not want to stay with the grouped image and text as I move it around the sheet text frame. The text wants to stay outside the page text frame on the bottom of the page instead of staying with the image just below it. How to fix this problem? Tried to copy the first sucessful image/text group and paste on page two and it does not work. Do have latest affinity publisher installed. Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 I am thinking of three distinct possibilities, there are many more as well. Does your ten page document consist of text flowing from page one to ten, meaning the page has a Text Frame on page one which is linked to a Text Frame on page two which is linked to ... all the way to page ten having a Text Frame linked back to page nine? Are you wanting the images to be outside the text or underneath? How large are the images on the pages? 2 hours ago, ROBERT ALVAREZ said: The text wants to stay outside the page text frame on the bottom of the page instead of staying with the image just below it. This confuses me but makes me think you may have created a second Text Frame on the page which is not linked. ROBERT ALVAREZ Posted June 11, 2019 Author Posted June 11, 2019 Yes all link pages have text flowing down to each page. So far have about 4 pages done with text. Attached are two jpg's , first on shows a large text box below image, they are grouped. The figure 1 text out side the text box on the bottom should be inside the text box. The second figure 1 is inside the text box. On the second sample image the text box is move toward the image and both the figure 1 text stay put on the bottom. Seems that there is a bug on the grouped image and text box being on top of the page text frame. Worked ok on the first page with no trouble. May have to do a work around this bug by putting the text in the image without doing a group. . Quote
