MMC Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 I can create color swatches (fills, etc.) using the Apple color picker, however Affinity Designer overrides the Apple color with something dull, maybe web safe colors. I set RGB to the Apple color profile in Affinity Designer preferences. The issue might be a bug or user error. Reviewing the forum, the issue appears to be a bug. On the other hand the forum messages are 2 years old. If there is still a bug in using Apple colors, I'd be surprised it has not been fixed. Help appreciated. Quote
MMC Posted June 9, 2019 Author Posted June 9, 2019 Also, I don't necessarily need to use the Apple color picker, just anything other than the dull colors Affinity Designer is assigning to the objects. The swatches look good, but the color fills are not correct. And, the version of Designer is 1.7.0 on MacOS 10.14.5. (1.7.0 does not appear to be stable - crashes constantly - I assume those bugs are being addressed). Quote
Staff stokerg Posted June 10, 2019 Staff Posted June 10, 2019 Hi MMC, Only time i get any difference using the Apple Colour Picker is if my document is set to use a CMYK colour space, then the picked colour is duller. If my document is using RGB then the colour picked with the Apple Colour Picker, is what i get in Designer. Quote
