Mollekopp Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) Hi folks. I use both versions of affinity designer. The iPad version and the desktop version. I have to say I really like your software! Now I have to export one of my images to an psd file. I would like to have all vector layers as form layers in the psd. But some layers are form layers, others are not. (in both versions of Affinity Designer) Why is this so? And what can I do to avoid this? Can you please help me? Thank you! Edited May 28, 2019 by Mollekopp Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 28, 2019 Staff Posted May 28, 2019 Hi Mollekopp, Welcome to Affinity Forums I believe you meant a few layers were rasterised rather than kept as vector shapes. Are you using any FX effects? All FX effects force rasterisation of the objects/layers they are applied too for example. There's also other things that may force it. Can you attach the file for us to take a look? I can provide a link if you wish to keep the file private. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Mollekopp Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Hi. Thank you for the quick reply. Yes this is exact what I mean. I made vector layers and added pixellayers to shade the illustration. For me it is strange, that some layers are still vector and others are not. I would like to send you my file. Can you provide me the link? Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 28, 2019 Staff Posted May 28, 2019 I'm setting up a link for you . Give me a few moments. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Mollekopp Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Sure! Do you want the .psd file or do you want the .afdesign file? Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 28, 2019 Staff Posted May 28, 2019 The afdesign file. Here's the link. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Mollekopp Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 I guess I found the solution. On some layers I used color gradients. This layers are rasterised. So I will delete this gradients and export again. Quote
Mollekopp Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 I have tested it. Without the color gradients the export works like it should. Cool! :-) Thank again MEB! Quote
