gkd
Lately, I have been unable to open Affinity photo on a Windows 7 PC. When trying to open the program a dialogue box says that Windows Aero is not enabled. I have switched to aero without rectifying the problem. The only thing I can think of is that I have recalibrated my screen using a Sypder 5 pro. Has anyone had this issue. thanks.
Staff Callum Posted May 24, 2019 Staff Share Posted May 24, 2019 Hi GKD, The second screenshot you provided (regarding the colour scheme being changed) is this error generated when you start Affinity? Please could you double check that you do have an Aero theme enabled on your computer> https://obsproject.com/wiki/How-to-enable-or-disable-Aero-in-Windows-7 Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. gkd
Hi Callum, I have checked that aero is selected. The second screenshot was generated on start up of the PC when the calibration is changed for Sypder5. I am starting to think the only way I can access Affinity photo is to get rid of Spyder 5 calibration. Although, defeats the purpose of calibrating your screen. thanks for the quick reply. Graeme There is a workaround for not using Aero it can be found in the below thread. Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
