Affinity Designer for iPad crashes when pasting symbol into other document

Recommended Posts

I recently began using the Symbols feature. Since then, I have been unable to paste a group of objects that is also a symbol into another document. I can copy the group, but the app crashes when I try to paste it into the other document.

Affinity Designer for iPad 1.6.4

iOS 12.3 (16F5148a)

Hi Michael A. Lowry and welcome to the Forums,

This is a known issue and is currently logged with the Dev team to resolve.  I'll bump the report with a link to this thread :)

Hi, @stokerg. Thanks for the quick response. I look forward to the bug fix.

In the meantime, is there a way to break the relationship between a particular symbol instance and the parent symbol?

Never mind. I found it in the Symbols studio: Detach symbols in selection.
