leminibleu Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I am trying to write Zload where 'load' is subscripted and Z is capitalized. I type this string, highlight 'load' and click the S_* button in the Typography section of the Character studio. Nothing happens. If I select 'Subscript' from the S: section of the Postitioning and Transform section of the character studio I get the expected subscript. Other buttons in the typography section (Small caps, All caps, 1^st, and ...) seem to work as expected. Do I misunderstand the use of the Typography section?
kenmcd Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Typography is only going to provide subscripts if the characters are available in the font. Many (most) fonts do not provide the full alphabet as OpenType subscripts. So fonts do; it appears the font you are using does not. (what font is it?) Postitioning and Transform will create "fake" subscripts from regular characters. APub will not mix real and fake because they will not match. See discussion here:
