It might be useful for teams that collaborate - even more for those using Linux. It is XML based so that it is perfectly suited as additional exchange format. Scribus offers IDML as well but at some point very poorly. I really like Scribus and will use it in the future as well. So from now onwards there are for me two parallel work flows. The One with the Affinity Suite and the one using only Open-Source-Software for special occasions. That includes GIMP, Inkscape, Krita and Scribus.
