SimoneSilva Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Hello, I'm fairly new to Affinity so hoping this is something simple, but i've recently gotten a presentation from a designer (probably originally designed in InDesign) and then sent to me as a PDF, and needed to tweak some words in it which I did by bringing it into Affinity, and when I exported it as a PDF there were little grey lines around each of the images and the colours seemed slightly different (the green was slightly duller). I have uploaded some pages below to show you what I mean, the Documents page and Flock Event Presentation are the original files, and the two screenshots are what that document looked like after I exported to a PDF (you can see a slight grey outline on the blue page around the phone). Original colours can also be seen on the website, www.flockplatform.com Hope you can help. Thanks! Simone Quote
Staff MEB Posted March 7, 2019 Staff Posted March 7, 2019 Hi SimoneSilva, Welcome to Affinity Forums Do you mind uploading the original and exported PDF's for us to take look please? You can do so using this link. Thanks. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
SimoneSilva Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 Thanks very much, I have uploaded the files. I tried looking at the files in Affinity again, and it seems that as soon as the file is imported it changes the colours and I can see the grey lines, so then I export they will remain there. Maybe there is a different way I need to open the file? Currently I just Open it like any other file. Thanks, Simone Quote
SimoneSilva Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Hi there, I am still waiting for a response on this after I uploaded my documents, any news? Quote
SimoneSilva Posted March 15, 2019 Author Posted March 15, 2019 Hello @MEB, are you still getting these notifications? Please respond to me on this. I still have the problem though I asked to be sent open files by the designer and now the colour of the file doesnt change in the document but I still see the little lines, you can see then even around the icon/pictures within the grey squares below, they aren't supposed to be there. Staff MEB Posted March 15, 2019 Staff Posted March 15, 2019 Hi SimoneSilva, Thanks for the files. I'm sorry for the delay - I did miss the regular thread notifications. I will take a look at them right now. EDIT: The issue is coming from the boundaries of the masks applied to the blue rectangles. I've isolated the issue and logged/passed it with the dev team to be fixed. Unfortunately this also affects the latest Customer Beta. The colour changes are (probably) due to the profile Designer is assigning on import. This was also logged. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
