AllanD Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 When I export a file in photoshop I am then able to import it into Motion 5 retaining all the individual layers. However, when I do the same thing in Affinity all the layers are merged making it useless. I have selected the 'preserve edibility preset'. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. A Quote

AllanD Posted March 6, 2019 Author Posted March 6, 2019 Brilliant, it works just fine.. I have to admit to thinking I had already tried this without success, but clearly I was wrong. Very many thanks, Allan Quote
AllanD Posted March 27, 2019 Author Posted March 27, 2019 Actually, it doesn't always work and I don't know why. I have tried it with both large and small files but nothing conclusive has come to light. At present I have to export to Photoshop Elements and then save again to guarantee exporting separate layers. Frustrating! What am I missing? Quote
Staff MEB Posted March 27, 2019 Staff Posted March 27, 2019 Hi AllanD, Do you mind providing us a sample Affinity file which when exported to PSD fails to import in Motion 5 with the layers intact? I can provide you an upload link if you wish to keep the file private. Thanks. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
AllanD Posted March 27, 2019 Author Posted March 27, 2019 Hi, I would be grateful of a link because I have put a lot of work into this example and I don't want it shown just yet. Thanks Allan Quote

Staff MEB Posted April 2, 2019 Staff Posted April 2, 2019 Hi AllanD, Thanks for the file. Do you mind also uploading the original .afphoto file from which the .PSD file you provided was originated please? You can use the same link (above) to upload it. Thank you. AllanD Posted April 3, 2019 Author Posted April 3, 2019 Hi, It's on its way. I think it is from the same file I sent before, I have created so many and I chose one at random. Many thanks Quote
AllanD Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 It's gone very quiet on this issue, is there no solution at present? Quote
Staff MEB Posted June 4, 2019 Staff Posted June 4, 2019 Hi Allan, My apologies for the delay - I've not been around during April and this end up falling off the radar. [EDIT] Issue logged to be looked at/file passed to dev team for inspection[EDIT] Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
